that was so bad

should have been a free

I also liked on Heppels last mark that he shanked, Bruce got a great shove in the back as he floated in front completely shoved out of the marking contest.

Which was also conveniently missed, as it was a mark to the homeless guy.

I'm twelve down, the boys just checked my pass and let me into the after party...going OFF!

Nine beers and counting drinking by myself.... tragically good.

As awful as Essendon looked in the 1st half, they regained their composure and were coming like a train in the 3rd quarter and start of the 4th. If this was 2018, we would've collapsed like a cheap tent when challenged and then taken a 5 goal loss. Instead we stopped the bleeding, and grinded it out and kept them goalless when it mattered (junktime goals from essendon are standard). Signs of a maturing group
Was listening to Roberton on radio pre game and he was asked about the 6-6-6 and he said they'd really embraced it as it forces them as a defensive unit to take ownership of the situation and lock down which we have seen in both last quarters this year. Also said they liked the no runners, seems we've really brought into the new rules and the players have been empowered by it rather than previously just waiting for coaches instructions.

dylan shiel hahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhaahhaahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahaha

i mean why ****in listen to chocco m8

I know I’m darragh’s advocate however I can’t see what brown offers over Joyce, other than experience

Last week I think Darragh gave away 6 frees (correct me if I'm wrong?). Brown today gave away none.

In the third quarter today the bombers had repeat forward 50 entries - if Joyce was playing rather than Brown today who knows what might have happened. A single goal can do a lot for momentum.

Lonie has been a revelation, he's still a niggling little prick but he's added a hard edge to his game and won us some hard ball gets today at crucial moments.

A pity Billings can't follow his lead and get his hands dirty, he's still a soft seagull that prefers to wait for the easy outside ball.

He has only had 12 games. And he is very young for a ruckman.
Pierce has been in the system 6 years?

Yep he’s got Pierce covered even if his tap work never improves. It’s really going to be a case of Marshall vs Longer. Right now you’d have to go Marshall as well.

Brown gave away one in the first minute or two of play actually, McKernan shanked it.

St Kilda and proud.

Commentators were remarking on how excellent our structure was for defending kick ins from the opposing team, we constantly were able to lock it in and stop a rebound.

Who would be in charge of that? A collective coach effort?

Fantastic win. A lot impresses me but particularly:
- Our coaches killed the last qtr. Stopped their run.
- Marshall was huge. Sorry but with Pierce in we lose.
- Gresh was immense.
- Savage huge.
- Billings, Steele awesome
- "Bruce hit the roof"
- Parker pressure and hardness
- They came at us and we responded.

Best win in a long time, probably since the Tigers game. Exciting times.

Playfair i think

Loving the excuses coming from Worsfold. Mate, we just played better and you have issues. That's it!
I hung around after the siren. Were bombers fans booing thier players as they went off?

No one talks about Sinclair much , but today he had 9 tackles and that goal he kicked settled things down.
All round good team performance.

And a couple of Steele moves through traffic were extremely Lenny like. Sincs moved through traffic really well.

And two other things worth noting -

1. We won without a significant contribution from Jack Steven. Not only does this prove that we can win without our star midfielder dragging us over the line, it meant we didn’t have have to listen to Paul Roos calling him ‘Jack Stevens’ all day

2. Last year we hadn’t to wait until round 13 to register our second win. This year it’s come in round two. Now that’s worth celebrating
