A quick shout out to Jack Steele, for putting Stringer down hard and giving away a 50 when it was appropriate to do so.
And Parker, for nailing McGrath on a hospital pass that he'll never forget.
Hardness is FINALLY back. We've needed more kent for some time..

Dog act from Stringer, accepting the free kick after he knew he just about ripped J-Web’s head off. The best part about the whole thing though was how we handled the subsequent 50, we actually ended up with a shot on goal!

Bern out just read this thread, so happy to read a happy forum.

We all love the Saints and last year was testing for all of us.

There will he though times ahead, there always is as a Sainter.

Couple of things. All week it was about the Bombers, only saw the first half but we were just too quick and organised. Should have been 6 up.

Get to town see we see we are only 8 points up 25 into the third and thought, here we go.

But that was the closest they got. 23 up with a couple of minutes to go would have been fitting, but who cares, we win.

We have plenty of work to do but our effort is back.

GO SAINTS

Super proud of the Sainters today, looked a bit shaky when they were coming at us hard in the 3rd but we found a bit of composure & got the job done. Will Purple write something positive about us this week or maybe just nothing at all?
Not a chance

I wanted to win this game so so bad......and we did it....a great grinding win.

What really interests me is that for the 2 JLT games and the first 2 home and away games,we'd got off to a good start.....were challenged later in the game....steadied and won.

That's 4 in a row where that pattern has happened.

That aspect of our game could be huge going foward…..not good for the nerves tho.

Went down to RSEA to watch the 2nd half......about 50 there.....the atmosphere was very tense in the last 10 mins of the 3rd 1/4.....and the same in the last.

The place went banana's when Sinclair marked and goaled.....it went beserk when Gresh kicked the sealer.

I thought our pressure/structre today was great....straighten up in front of goal and look out.

Fox replayed Brucy's mark....what can you say....has to be his best at the Saints.
What’s it like there to watch a game ?
Decent screens? Good sound ? Cheap beer?

It was a good fair hit on McGrath. Put himself in a vulnerable position and Parker made him earn it.

Actually thought Parker had the opportunity to lay a text book tackle but took the option of just trying to deliberately hospitalise a bloke.

Was beautiful.

Would watch again.

No one going to talk about Gresh and Billings the midfielders?

Gresham had me worried in the JLT.. looked a little lost... he was phenomenal today, absolute star in the making if he isn't already..

JB an interesting one, thought he got better and better as the game went on, some of his hands in tight were excellent.. so clean

Both have given us a real lift in class and quality through the middle this year

Early days but last years drafting looks alright so far and our first two picks are still awhile away from playing.

And Trout's first year out of the job. Luckily for Essendon they have grabbed him to help their recruiting team out.

Marshall 13 contested
Gresham 13
Bruce 13
Newnes 11
Sinclair 10
Steele 9
Billings 8
Webster 8
Fair few very pleasant surprises there.

Marshall 8 tackles to go with his 13 CP's.

That's why I'm happy for us to play him mostly forward as well, as his tackle and pressure numbers are generally clearly better than Skunks and miles better than Paddy's.
