Something a little bit different but I think that we’ve all seen how ecstatic our players have been after kicking goals this year ie Parker, Bruce etc etc. I remember them saying it was something that bully slater has really encouraged. I’m a huge believer is possitive body language and I think celebrating like we do breeds exciting and momentum. I just think it’s really interesting and small that a team like the storm really value that and in the NBA with the spurs celebrating for each other is really important too. Again I know it’s only small but I’m really loving it and the energy it is bringing
Yes indeed.

I think we are starting to see his influence in a few areas. Including our physicality.

Loving the GIF work in here. I'll raise you three more:

And my personal favourite:

Actually I just watch the Lonie tackle on Hurley . Hurley goes to ground then gets up sees the ball is still close but turns his back torun off , why didn’t he keep after the ball ? Strange lol.

Don’t Panic !!

I looove seeing all the salty Essendon fans here. I was actually sitting second floor right above them when he scored this goal and cheered right into their ears.

Well done Crusty , I was screaming at my computer screen as I was watching it , my wife came running in from outside thinking something was wrong . Apparently I had used a number of not very nice swear words in my rant at the Essendon supporters at that time lol.

Don’t Panic !!

Any chance you can get the one when the Essendon guys Trott off leaving Lonie the time to pickup the ball and run off ? Never seen guys so keen to get off the ground before , one guy actually jogs right past the ball in an effort to get off lol .

Don’t Panic !!

Hahahaha that’s some of the funniest things I have seen this year .
I bet Lonie couldn’t believe it when they jogged off .

He looks like a headless chook.

One thing I wished we do more is our mids and half backs to take the game on a little more, and only When Steele brushed off tacklers and released to Dunstan to kick a goal..

If the below players can do that.. it makes our next possession easier.. good teams like Hawthorn and Sydney do this all the time.. What we do is hand ball first to a free man at the back of the pack, what’s better is draw the man, make the play and release to a player streaming coward.

Are we sure flying across the country and back again and playing a punishing game if footy on a big ground is advisable for a big man with an ankle injury?

I'd much prefer Marshall to be there, but I'd rather not if we run the risk of losing him for multiple weeks.
Im not sure what flying has to do with it but i dont they will risk him if he is not right

If you look closely a third player is heading for the bench as well. I just can't figure out what they were thinking.

Love Ratten's infectious enthusiasm! And his quick critique on the game was right on the money!
Happy to see him looking so passionate and invested in the cause! We've got ourselves a beauty there as far as a
Coach on top of his game....The synergy between Richo, Ratts and Lade looks most promising early on...May well be a case of the
Perfect storm for the coaching group as a whole as they all seem to compliment each other very well!

For once we look like we have the tools to set the agenda most weeks as far as covering all bases and then getting on the front foot
Game plan wise! Refreshing change from permanently being the team that gets dictated to and was seemingly always set to reactive mode!

Hmm the ones who were sinking the boots into Newnes last year have gone quite , it just shows he must have been carrying some injuries for most of the year that we didnt know about as he getting right back to his best of 2016.
Ps , Bruce is also going pretty good for a bloke that some wanted to trade
Go Saints

I think this notion that Ross is an Inside Mid is incorrect, he is an outside player first inside second his stats suggest that. Dunstan does need to win more ball atm he is playing his role.
Dunstan is our battering ram. There was a passage of play in the 3rd quarter where he put a block on Heppell for us to win the centre clearance, then when that clearance was turned over he followed up with a tackle on Heppell to win the ball back. He does need to get more of the ball but his body work is excellent and he helps us to get first use of the ball.

15:10 left in the 2nd term.

Steele wins the clearance, shrugs off Zaharakis. Shiel comes in from the blindside to wrap him up, Steele shrugs him off as well, feeds the handball off in traffic to a running Dunstan who lines up from 50 and slots it.

Could watch that shit all day.

I'll be amazed if Steeley doesn't win our B&F come years end.

I thing the constant criticism of Dunstan is getting really annoying . Yes he might not have had that many disposals but I thought he played a more negative role shutting down his opponent although im not sure who that was because I don't watch the opposition players . He also did some big bumps and went in hard constantly which the Essendon mids don't like especially Merrett imo.
There is constant talk about dropping him and Lonie every week . Lonie didn't have a lot of disposals either but he did some great pressure work and that tackle on Hurley which resulted in us getting a vital goal just shows that his tackles stick now which is something he struggled with last year. I wonder if Slater has been helping with the tackling ?

Dunstan was very good this week & absolutely terrible last week.

He cops it when he deserves it IMO.

We all want to see him develop into the player that he promised to be a few years back (which I believe was someone on a par with Cunnington).

We talk about coaching and effort, but we had some close games last season, and i couldn't think we would have won that with :

Newnes playing like crap.
Weller instead of Parker.
Long instead of Acres.
Rice instead of Wilkie
Battle forward instead of Bruce.

I think last time Hickey played on Bellchambers he was ragdolled, Marshall was a bit, in the ruck, but he certainly did enough even if he didn't stop Bellchamber's influence.
