Autopsy Hawks fall in a heap against the Dogs - Rd 2, 2019

Oh yeah the other thing is Roughy may have the worst timing on his jumps out of anyone living. Like seriously, he'll jump 2 seconds before the rest of the pack jumps and be back on the ground when the ball is in the area.

The loss of Burgoyne was crucial. Hes gold and always cuts us up. With him healthy, you blokes hang on.

The O'Meara brain fade that led to the reversal with Macrae was probably the turning point, it was a 12 point turnaround. The Sicily "punch" was soft and shouldn't have been paid. But it didn't determine the game. In hindsight you guys will probably agree the other two contentious frees were there (Whorpel brain fade and Sicilys front on tackle).

Listen to Clarkos presser, he got it right.

Piss of crab, it wasn’t a brain fade by O’Meara, it was a push to the chest that happens 100 times a game. The Sicily one was even worse and the Worpel decision a joke as the umpire hadn’t even started his walk into bounce the ball. Now piss off back to your own board and hope you’re crap poor club is enjoying living on handouts from all of us wealthy clubs who are run properly.

I agree Clarko got it right. Doggies clearly better team on the day, and we were very lucky to have the lead we had going into the final term. However, please don't come onto our board, and tell us how the kind of push and shove between players that had been deemed legal all day by the umpires suddenly became a free kick in the last quarter, and only when a Hawk player was doing it. If we'd been playing better, I'd have been ropable, but the fact is you give up 23-4 I50s in a quarter, and you have factors that are a lot more relevant to the result than incorrect umpiring decisions. I realise as a doggies fan you probably have a skewed perspective on what a free kick should be after the armchair ride your club has received in this department over the last few years, but you can kindly **** off back to your own board now.

Terrible umpiring aside our ball use under pressure was horrible. The amount of times we tried to soccer the ball off the ground instead of picking it up was a joke, not to mention we missed most of those soccer attempts. Handballs to players feet was another thing that shit me, happened so often with one of the easiest skills to master.

Still think personally we need to play Brand, he just helps us so much more structurally.

****in umpires robbed us. No ****in consistency. Hawks run it out of bounds get called deliberate, but if Bulldogs do it then it is a throw in, **** me. Then there is the gift goals as well.
How about the 50m penalty after the ump called play on. FMD, on reflection we stood no chance.

Just for the record, here is the AFL rule regarding Worpel's free kick against.

When the football is bounced to start a quarter or recommence play after a Goal has been scored, the following shall apply:

Of the 4 Players, one player from each Team is permitted to be within the 10 meter circle;

The rule is not "as the umpires moves to bounce the ball only one player can be in the circle", it is "When the ball is bounced, only one player can be in the circle."

ROBBED

Omeara brain fade??? No different to Gowers initial push on Impey, then the ump pays you a free for his retaliation whilst both were in the wrong. Clearly different rules apply for Bulldogs.

To add to this, if the ball was never bounced in the first place, then according to the AFL rules this free kick does not exist.

Not sure if it is a fitness issue but our last quarters have been a problem in both games and the JLT.
I'd suggest its more of a leadership issue. We needed players to stand up and be a leader, just relax & we didn't have that in the last quarter & haven't had that this year.

We didn't play well at all, but you shouldn't lose from 5 goals ahead at 3 quarter time.

The umpiring did have a huge factor though, I don't like blaming umpires but they were hugely decisive in yesterdays game sadly.

Exactly. Take away 3 gift goals to them, and perhaps a goal or 2 to us it would have been very close. Absolutely 100% influence on the game

At least we can be safe in the knowledge that the events that transpired yesterday are incredibly unlikely to ever happen again. Giving up a 30 point lead, through 9 goals in a row to the opposition, with 2 injured players, and coping two of the most bewildering decisions ever seen; is certainly what I would classify as a 'black swan' event

I do recall a howler of a game last year but can’t remember against who. Was saying that was the worst ever......until now.

yeah that rings a bell, umpire signals play on to Scully who tackles and is then met with a 50 metre penalty straight away.

Massive blunder by the ump and inexcusable. Play on means exactly that so they cannot call a penalty after play on is signalled - the umpired has deemed that play shall continue. It's a oft spoken line that " today was the worst umpiring exhibition I've ever seen" but yesterday was beyond that. I wished they had saved it for an Anzac Day clash where lynchings would've ensued

Umpire made a mistake on the ruling wrt Worpel. He had nut begun his run in to bounce at that point. We were screwed all day, just ask the neutrals.

Those uneducated low life human beings that called themselves "umpires" yesterday should be absolutely ashamed of themselves, not even their own mothers could have loved them yesterday. But I suppose when they have Gill's hands up their arses pulling the strings, then we have no chance.

So we have all mentioned those bloody awful free kicks that turned the game somewhat, but the one that was straight out cheating, corrupt etc was Hendo's deliberate.
I don't care who you are, but that was just a bung of a kick that came of the side of his boot and a complete accident and for it to be called deliberate was and is, a complete bloody disgrace!!

Credit where credit is due, the Dogs were just better, they wanted it more than us and if our players think that you can let the oppo score 9 goals to 1 in a qtr and still think you will win the game.......well......? I don't even know what to say!?

I will mention Smith and Bruest, I admit that a lot of our players were off or just downright lazy yesterday, but these 2 need to get their heads out of each others arses and play footy instead of thinking they are invincible and can do whatever they want...........Infuriating!

Oh and our club will not do anything about the woeful umpiring. We better respond next week.
