Since when did Daniel Rich carve up any mob ? Been a long time. Getting carried away with some unusual early form ? Zorko i'll pay...gun.
Its Brissy. They're going alright at the moment...BUT

Any Freo fans remember how Neale scored when tagged hard ? or has he never really copped much attention with Fyfe the target ?
Please look up Neale history one of the most consistent sc scorers in past 5 seasons

100% agreed, I posted pretty much the same thing yesterday.

Horse is SC cancer.

Weird that they play on such a small ground should be scoring well.

Imagine if Lloyd was in a good team reminds me of Mitchell.

I honestly don't think Neale will ever be tagged again.

He is a gun but isn't going to destroy you with 30 touches, having a tag go to him you might prevent 10 touches these new rules it isn't worth doing.

Zorko really compliments the Neale game style and if anyone gets tagged he will.

I'm just loading my mids up and then will work on the forwards and defenders as my rucks are set Gawn and Grundy

I currently have

Macrae
Neale
Cripps
Sheed
M Crouch
B Crouch
Constable upgrade to Fyfe
Walsh upgrade to Treloar
Butters
Scott
Gibson

Will stick with Sheed and B Crouch as my bottom two mids just hoping they can stay at 100 average.

Thoughts on that?

*Last 4 years.

He's average 109.5 over that period, not too shabby.

Yep and going to Brisbane looks like an even better player has really freshened him.

Only missing Rockliff :p

Also the addition of Lyons has really helped us in the clearances, for the first time in years we are actually win them :)

If I bring in Rocky its this week not sure I can go in with all 3 of Rocky Crouch and Sheed playing with fire.

Rocky needs to do this for another 6 weeks before I consider.

Imagine if his salary cap wasn’t hamstrung with Buddy in his twilight years?

Maybe he can turn it around like Mayne lollll

If Champion Fault weren't massive faults big Neale would have cracked the double ton last week. I mean they took down the entire AFL statistics network just so they didn't have to give us live updates to justify how he only score 37 points with 15 touches in a tight final term.

Honestly with your team I wouldn't bother getting Rocky, I would though try to fit in Clayton Oliver in your upgrades.

IMO Neale should easily have had 150+, he was the spearhead for us in that last Qtr that secured the win.

All good reasons to trade him out.

I have no confidence on who to bring in that will for sure outscore him over the course of the season, though, and only based on only two games so far.

If he were a midfielder (like Dusty), there'd a plethora of options to move to. Forwards a lot more suspect though. Tim Kelly and that's about it. And then you'll have to trade Heeney back in again at some point.

I also bring up Grundy/Gawn/Oliver because people overreacted and brought in the likes of Westhoff and Coniglio and cost themselves ~90 points in one week.

We all undersell that a hot rookie can outscore a premo in any given week too. You trade Heeney to Boak this week and Setterfield on your bench could wind up outscoring both of them.
Yeh no doubt people over reacted on the back of those players having 1 bad week, but Heeney has now had 2 and then the injury and everything else i mentioned makes it a completely different scenario IMO. I think there are plenty of options on who to bring in who will outscore Heeney by the end of the year, starting with Kelly or Boak.

Boak has been faulting it up the last 10 years in SC. What makes you think he will suddenly outscore Heeney over the season after 2 games?

Heeney still very likely to end up in the top 6 scorers unless Horse somehow finds enough excuses to stick him in the forward line for 20 more games. On pure ability Heeney is a top 15 player in the comp and available as a forward, you need to give him more than 2 weeks.

No I dont, I dont carry injured players that cost me 550k that are about to lose money because they're scoring in the 70s.
As for Boak, his last couple of years have been average mainly due to the fact Hinkley played him forward. The years before that he averaged 91, 99, 105, 107, 90, 90 and 96 playing as a midfielder, and guess where he's being played this year. Bingo, as a midfielder. Not sure thats "faulting it up the last 10 years".
I dont think Heeney will be a top 6 mid this year, hence why I'm trading him. I also think he'll miss games. Best of luck with him.

He doesn't need to be a top 6 mid, just a too 6 forward. Heeney can average 95 with his eyes closed with a half decent amount of midfield minutea.

Wasn't Boak playing midfield last year as well? What happens when Wines comes back and Rockfault is playing too well to change roles? Averaging 107 for one year at his peak isn't exactly great so he was never relevant in SC. I mean he could average 100-105 this year but to say that with confidence and that Heeney will mostly likely stay as bad as this and miss games is a bit of a stretch. Kelly is the only one I'd have confidence trading him too and that's still a good chance to just end up being sideways.

Sorry obviously meant top 6 forward. Look I'm not gonna keep repeating myself as to why I'm trading Heeney, read my earlier posts if you want a rebuttal. And yeh don't get Boak mate, makes no difference to me.

I can Trade:

Heaney to Boak or Kelly.
Dusty to Neale. I had Neale several times in preseason....... Should have left him there.

Or I can trade out Hore and bring in Miers. This leaves me short for the Dusty trade and can only trade Heaney.

I think Heaney will come good soon enough and would rather not sideways him.

If I didn't have Mills, I'd trade Heeney. But since I have that spud dog Mills, Heeney has to stay

If Heeney plays this week, one of two things happens:
1. He injures his ankle again, then is forced to either play full forward or hopefully miss games. I trade him out next week at a $35k loss, not too bad
2. He gets through unscathed and heads in the right direction to start pumping out good scores again

Lets be honest for a moment here. We rather lose 35k from Heeney than field Mills for another week.

Need help with choosing one of these options for trades and I have 154k ITB:

Gibbons / Atkins > LDU / Cousins
Walsh / Butters > Liba

Already burnt two trades last week so doing no trades is also an option.
Is liba a must have and worth it over some value rookies or is getting in a LDU or Cousins more important?

I'm tossing up Daniel too. Just think Port win more games than the Doggies which generally means more points.

Daniel doing the kick ins is a big plus.
