Not saying White should get a game. Just that have heard he's off side with the coach. He may well not be anywhere near getting selected regardless of Richo. He seemed to have some good attributes when he arrived at the club but could yet be another Sippa with terminal unrealised potential.
May be he is off side with the coach for a reason, or is Richo just a vindictive prick hell bent on destroying careers and jeopardising team selection?

White might be a lazy prick ( reports he came back to preseason twice underprepared).

Richo took him to a final so doubt he is being an arseh*le.
Probably not doing what is required to be an AFL footballer.
Joyce has gone past him, Wilkie too, we went and got two forwards from state leagues and the VFL.

This would suggest White is not rising to what is required.

People have there favorites , however we have to respect who they select in the side , DMac is most probably in the side because he had a very good preseason even winning the team time trial and showing more in match sim.

He's a Richo special too, tough and hard at a contest with limited kicking ability.

Yes the truth is in there somewhere.
Agree Joyce and Wilkie have gone past him.

Don't get me wrong skid, hope the kid gets a rocket up the clacker and comes good. Reckon he has got something.

Just don't go the "Richo doesn't like him so won't play him" trope is all.

Longer Marshall debate goes two ways , you want a guy who is a good tap ruck man or you want a guy who marks and picks up touches around the field.
Longers best year was 2017 where he had 38.6 hit outs a game , 1.6 marks and 9 disposals a game.
Just comparing Marshalls one game this year 21 hit outs, 5 marks and 14 disposals. (game high 13 contested possessions) you would still go with Marshall and the guy will only get better after only playing 14 games in his career so far.

We know Longer and Pierce are currently better tap ruckmen , but they have to show something else to make a case for selection - goals , marking or something.

You can add 8 tackles for Marshall as well.

Sure. For whatever reason he's just not doing enough. Harder to get in now for everyone which is great for the club.

Daniel MacKenzie's career was looking in trouble up until that GC game last year. Since then he has become an integral part of our side. People suggest on here he might be dropped, I genuinely think he'd be one of the first picked in the side, as evidenced by the fact that he played round 1 despite missing the JLT games. He is a hard player, very reliable and extremely fit, and he can shut down players one on one. Very good mark. He is the type of player you need if you want to be a good side. He only played a handful of games last year but rocketed into the top 10 best and fairest.

I have always liked White but the idea that the coach doesn't like him is silly to me. If he was good enough he'd play, and he has played in the past, but the fact that we signed a rookie that has already overtaken him for a spot (Wilkie), and that Darragh Joyce is ahead of him too as well as probably Hind, I think it's going to be tough for him to make it from here but I hope for his sake he can improve.

The idea that he's better than DMac though is farcical. DMac is a guy that we will come to rate more and more as we improve. Won't rack up the possessions or score huge in supercoach but he is reliable. And he's actually a pretty good kick.

He has his ups and downs. For a player lauded for defensive effort he still looks jittery one on one at times.

The difference is DMac has improved drastically from that stage while White hasnt.
True its another interesting player v player. I think we may never find out with wikie battle and marsh lining up. Not a fan of battle back. Time will tell

Does anyone else’s dick tingle when they think about the addition of Hannebery, Carlisle and King (hopefully Roberton) to this team... or should I go to the doctors??

are you female? you might need a trip to the doctors.

Hey mate it's not mine. It's your own supporters inside word. The Roos article occurred after i had heard it. Roos coming out with it almost confirms it IMO given how close he is to Ross.
That's an interesting conspiracy theory but I think it's more likely that Roos was taking inspiration from Mick Malthouse's hit piece from The Sunday Times

https://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/f...ams-fremantle-skipper-nat-fyfe-ng-b881145071z

the article is almost 2 weeks old but since nobody really listens to Mick anymore the story needed Paul Roos regurgitating it to gain any traction.

Such short memories people have.
This conjecture over White is almost verbatim what was said about Dmac last year. Coach doesn't like him, blah blah blah. Dmac only got his chance through injuries, and he took his opportunity when it came, standing up notably in the GC game. Some might recall the post match video where Cho gives Dmac a big pat on the back like they're best mates or some shit. Dmac turns round and blanks him like (who the fcuk are you?).
As to the why of it all. Cho backs the frontrunners. It's part of his methodology.
Dmac was persona non grata till he saved Cho's arse that day. Now he's the next Jesus. Brandon obviously isn't in with the Cho, or he would have been getting more games to date. And this year, Cho is doubling down on the frontrunners to save his career. I wouldn't be surprised if Brandon has put the que in the rack already. Last year he asked to be traded, and now Wilkie is in front of him. Peeps here can be all full of piss and hot air about what they think Brandon should or shouldn't be doing, but if you're a young man who thinks the head coach is suffocating your life's dream to play AFL, then its not easy to stay motivated.
Or, he's just not good enough...
We'll find out at the end of the season for sure.

Worth noting that he hasn't gotten a vote in the coaches awards so far.

JB was stiff on the weekend... I thought he was very influential. But when a noted nuffy like Woosha gives Saad 3 votes when he had no influence it's not really a great indication of playing a good game.

you're wrong gringo, DMAC has a high kicking ability, but also a high clanger ability. He's more of a Hinkley special.

Looking through the list it's pretty nice to see how few hack kicks we have in the team now. Over the last few years we've lost wright, mav, k stevens and gilbert, and I don't think we've brought in anyone that poor since. Richo must be beside himself!

There is a lot of fan fiction in this statement.
