Same bloke is responsible for the likes of Ratten, Lade and Gubby. For pushing us to work in a performance based culture with the aim to improve daily.

Think it’s great Lethlean giving push back , Caro looking for her usual targets .

Always tries to paint the negative with Stkilda .

Will repeat it again and again absolutely thrilled with Dan coming to StKilda , he was involved in verbal
encouragement whilst training last week. Worked with Max King on ground ball techniques last week .

He’s part of the leadership group folks has been since he walked in the door.

If Hannerbery can get up to play football again this year and be anywhere near his best it's going to be a very big in for us.
Imagine having a fit Carlisle and Hannerbery for finals , the only thing is we have to beat Fremantle this week to keep the dream alive.

Haven't watched the footy show for years but caught it tonight and all new cast and Bwwwwuuuccceee was on it.
He's a pretty funny guy.

Hurley stepladder of the week award.
Baarrroooose offered to give it to him in person next time they play. Lolz.

Anybody else read this? https://squiggle.com.au/how-the-fixture-screwed-st-kilda/

Pretty damming if it's all right.
Interesting read but a fair chunk of it comes down to “on the day”. Can’t really blame the fixture for sides suddenly improving, nor copping an opponent on a “good” or “bad” day. Pre-2018 we might have looked a stumbling block to some clubs in their fixture analysis, before basically becoming a sure thing such was our drop-off.

The travel analysis is an interesting point though. Wrong side of that ledger for a while now!

read it when i came out, yep some of its true, the travel etc. but if we weren't such a poor side and if we hadn't of kicked so damn badly the those teams don't go past us ( North, Hawks). its exacerbated by the fact we were utter tripe which make it appear we had such an awful fixture.

I read the article, nicely written, good find.

the only minor things left out is that the screwing of our fixture by playing interstate teams interstate is by our design, Port/Adel in Adelaide because we lost a shit ton of cash vs them at home under the old stadium deal and also we request to play Hawks/North in Tas ( and I don't mind that ( playing in Tas) from the club as a membership strategy )

on the flip side though, its a reflection of the season/s we've had, had we been the finals contender we were supposed to be then all that math changes.

North/WC/Pies were supposed to be terrible, if they were and we didn't suck so much then it all changes

Well we’re used to it...wrong side of the free kick ledger for years too...;)

thks for posting Gringo

Yes, great to see some of our guys...Brucey, Gresh and JB getting some media recognition. Hopefully we’re becoming a little less irrelevant as a footy club and team.

This year we have home state adv 5 times & disadv 5 times. However we also play Norf in Hobart & Geelong at the Cattery so make it 5-7. Not counting China as we chose to do that.

Oh and we’re currently 0-2 for free kick differential in games for those of you playing at home... But seeing as we won them both who really cares!

The worst thing is that in his first couple of years he was a more then adequate kick for goal. It seems entirely in his head as soon as he is in front of the sticks.
Agree with that. His eyes have been darting everywhere in recent years, close to panic really. I think being further away from goal will help, as there’s less expectation on him to kick goals. The overall confidence of the team is going to help too.

With us, I’m not sure home ground/state advantage helps. Many times against the WCE here we have “lost” the free kick count.

I know, I know, the count doesn’t have to be equal, but in a count someone did last season, we have really got the raw end of the deal over the past at least five years or so. It’s documented.

Whether we win or not is not the issue.

Funnily enough, I don’t mind playing Port in China. We would have played them in Adelaide again (we always do) and I figure China is much less of a home ground advantage :)

woudlnt the game against North be equally +/- game as the comic book stadium is also home to North

Don’t worry, I do my share of complaining that we get a raw deal from the Martians! Just saying I care a little less about it when we win!

Freo board moaning big time that Leigh Fisher is one of the umps, and Ross delisted him...yada, yada, yada...not sure he’s ever done us any favours.
