Brave by the Saints but just couldn’t finish it off. Another minute would have been interesting.

That relentless blitzkrieg attacking footy the Dockers displayed in round 1 hasn’t really been seen since. Looks like it was more of an aberration rather than a preview of a new and improved Freo. Back to Lyonball it seems.

You should've seen the news report in Melbourne about the Suns/Dogs game. Well at least I think the Suns played. It was hard to tell from the report. It went something like: Barnstorming Bulldogs fell agonisingly short, Bont, Bont, Bont, Naughton, Bont, Gowers, Dogs unlucky, cut to unhappy Bevo.

Saints are very average, still see them as bottom four given their relatively easy start to the year. Freo not much better.

Very hard for me to hate on the Suns right now.

Apart from Qld footy starting to come up roses again, the Suns are actually starting to look something like a genuine footy club which is amazing considering all the cultural rumblings and the mass desertions.

They are arguably in a better place since the defection of Ablett, Lynch and May (their high profile "superstars").

Unlikely as it seems(still) it would be absolutely delicious if the Suns somehow made the Finals and Melbourne and Richmond bombed out completely

this weekend Nathan brown, Rocky, and Fyfe were knocked out/concussed. Not a good look for the game and a major problem for the players.

Pretty sure the afl will jump all over this and umpires will be cracking down hard on bumps next week.

Having said that umpire rulings are not going to solve this issue - the players themselves need to set a code of conduct that puts players before teams. The current player movement reality means they could end up teammates with previous targets anyway. The Gaff incident shows how complicated it can become

Theres nothing anyone could have done for Fyfe and Rocky (didn't esee Brown). It was just total accidents, no point in putting rules around it
