Just because he looks 48 doesn’t mean he is. He’s the same age as Hartlett.

Yeah because my opinion is based on his receding hair line.

You know what Broadbent has that Bonner doesn’t?

Heart.

I don’t see what your seeing. He’s anothernof those list players been around long enough for little success.

I’m worried the speed has gone past him and he will be slow as a snail.

I’d rather a Bonner with heart who hits contests and isn’t a little bitch who kicks the ball quickly because he’s afraid of getting hurt by a bump as he kicks it. That’s what I really want.

But we deal with what we have.

Broadbent doesn’t need to be super fast. He needs to be accurate with his kicking and make good decisions.

I like your thinking but can't see it happening. If Dougal's going to make it, it will be as a KPF.

What's up with Bonner? I don't remember him playing a good game since round 1 vs Freo last year where he got 31 touches as an attacking half back.

Not my preferred option as I've never really rated Doogs as a forward, but he couldn't do much worse than the other blokes we've tried over the last two weeks so I could live with it. Lienert into Howard/Watts' spot, Howard into Marshall/Gray's spot and Gray back to the SANFL could work.

I wonder if Ken was watching Richmond's game against GWS on the weekend. Maybe Howard could do a Finlayson.
I don't think Howard s the best option either, but frankly I'd love the move just because it would show that the coaching staff are aware we have a gaping hole in the KPF department.

I also reckon Dougs will love the opportunity to let loose in the forward line.

Well there’s the problem. Gray should make his way in if we get injuries to our mids. Like for like only Stinkley can’t grasp the basics of replacements. Let’s take soccer, if a defender gets injured to coach or manager won’t replace him with a mid. They’ll keep their structure. It’s kids stuff only our coach is a fukn moron !!

The fact that the first and only SANFL bag you can think of was from nearly two full years ago (and was against the bottom team in a 120 point thrashing) is a great indicator of why we're all saying that the SANFL is a development graveyard for key forwards.

IIRC old mate Hinkley still chose to promote old mate Neade rather than Doogs the next week too. Neade kicked 1 goal to Howard's 8.

For obvious reasons that stands out, Just because i cant remember instances of Frampton or Marshall kicking 3 or more goals doesn't mean it doesn't happen. 3 goals is (well should be) enough if they are doing everything else right.

I thought we’d lose Lycett for two very important games, but instead Dustin Martin will be out this week.

Nice

Sam Mitchell was also slow but was incredibly dominant at his role

His role of being the biggest overinflated high-touch no-damage ****stick since Greg Williams.

I love the youth coming through, let’s blood the young West Indian!

In Garner, Mayes, McKenzie/Marshall (forward)
Out DBJ, Bonner, S Gray

Hoping Billy, Farrell and Marshall can have big games for the Maggie’s this week and Trengove improves his efficiency. Rather 30 solid possessions than 45 Kane possessions. Trengove may deserve an opportunity but sick of us burning the ball, we need skills and convert our clearances.
If Richmond play small - Please give Dougs a run in the forward line, would like to see him get his confidence up and hear the Dooouuuugs chant once again!

Brad Ebert needs to step up and start being a leader, he has the talent but we can’t go week to week with inconsistent efforts. Cmon Brad, Kane Farrell is knocking on your door.

Suffering from the same affliction as Polec. Doesn’t want to defend, just wants to attack.

The problem is, he’s a defender.

#Bonner4Wing?

Lol if you want another Polec, go right ahead.
I loved Polec. Some excitement and flair gives me good vibes.

If you want defensive minded medium sized defenders like Houston, I reckon Garner is another one like that.

You've revised your requirement of a handful down to 3 or more, but okay:

Marshall has 1 bag of 5 and 2 bags of 3 from 2017, when were a good side and finished 2nd on the ladder. The bag of 5 saw him elevated to the senior side. Other than that, it's 1s and 2s, and he's got a heap of games where he doesn't score any goals.

Frampton has 1 bag of 3 in his career (also from 2017), and has significantly more goalless games than games where he has scored a goal.

The Ken Farmer Medallist in 2018 scored 42 goals at just 2 goals a game for the team that won the flag. This is not a league where lots of goals are scored, and we're a bad team in it. The sort of consistent delivery that will let him get into his stride and building form isn't going to come at SANFL level. I'm not sure how else to get this through to you. All that happens for Marshall in the SANFL is that he tries to get on the end of scrappy kicks in a forward 50 flooded with defenders in a team that will lose more than it wins. Some weeks he might have some luck, other weeks he'll barely get a touch. Meanwhile our AFL side is crying out for a key forward.

It's almost like we could kill two birds with one stone.

I am not so sure that making wholesale changes is the way back.

If everyone is fit the only change I would make is to reward Jack Trengove as he is one player holding his hand up in the SANFL. Who he replaces is the question. I realise that Trengove is a mid fielder but maybe give him a try across the forward line in place of Sam Gray with an occasional rotation through the midfield ?

Regardless as to what the Club say I think Tom Rockliff has to be in some doubt. He was concussed and missed the last 40 minutes of the game and that is not a good scenario.

Not for the first time this season I'm shocked by the odds.

I expect a narrow port win, but for us to be 1.34 against a flag favourite with both sides missing players and having players out of form feels seriously strange
