Lol. My first car was an XD and in the 3 years I drove it I had gone through a dozen door handles.

There was a technique to opening the door (push in and lift a bit) that a certain friend of mine couldn't understand and he ripped the passenger handle off the same day I'd repaired it. Knobhead.

I had an XF Fairmont and it was exactly the same. At one point 3 of the 4 handled were broken and I thought if the drivers side goes I won't be able to get in at all. You'd think after 6-7 years they'd have fixed that issue but nope. Quality control certainly improved over the years.

XD Falcon. My god what a beautiful car. My first real car when I was an apprentice. The 250 six cylinder was a beast and easy to work on. History there.

Mine was a boat. It was gas converted, had no aircon and the thermostat was broken so it was on permanent heat. Combined with the 3-speed auto it was gutless.

But gee I had some fun times in it.

I replaced easily four or five of those mofo door handles. My wedding car was an immaculate white XD. Pristine condition. I owned until I sold it FFS. I've regret selling things in my life. Another was an XD Honda 500. Pristine condition. Big Thumper of a bike. Why???? Why did I sell it.

Roo was lights out instantly. Smacked the radiator into my feet and flew over the roof. Destroyed my car. Mate bought it for the 250. I moved on.

A bit exaggerated but shit the bang and crumpled front end was the finish for the old girl. I've hit a few roos in my time and I always go back to make sure they are dead and not suffering. This ****a was huge. Big red male. Wouldn't take him on in a boxing ring. He killed the Falcon. And the Falcon killed him.

A lot of old fellas must have gotten gas conversion, many cars of that era are gas. Not many stay that way after sale.
