I'm hoping no news is good news...
The cut off has passed, but there is a second trade and sign period from the 23rd to the 26th. You'd expect us to have re-signed some players by now, not everyone is hanging on the Davey Deal. The second trade period does not allow for expansion signings, so I assume we've kept Gab Pound from going to the Gold Coast Suns as they would have had to have finished that poaching an hour ago.
Unless a bunch of deals have been submitted to the AFL for approval and news will break later tonight or tomorrow.

Do you reckon in makey-uppy AFL land they would try to engineer Bri’s move to Collingwood by giving them a priority pick so Collingwood can trade pick 1&2 to us for her?

Odds are, if Bri goes to Collingwood, her partner Tilly would probably want to go as well.
Has to be a multi-player, multi-pick deal being worked out behind the scenes between the Blues and Pies with the AFL's 'help'.

It forces Collingwood to negotiate a trade with us now that they can't just let Davey slip to the draft and grab her by only spending Pick #1. Now we have an upper hand and get to ask for multiple picks or a player swap, if the trade does go ahead.

Doggies now hold Pick 1. Also collingwood seem to have settled their list, minus a bid for davey. Ash Brazill might be concerntrating on netball and Sarah Rowe might be heading back to Ireland for soccer & GAA, or they could be trade bait?
