Faux tough guy Viney just got Stack-ed.
Oh isn’t he just ?(faux tough)- always came across as one of those kids who looked like he was trading off his old mans tough reputation (not that ever thought Todd was anything special either) but just came across as real try hard.
Was awesome seeing an 18 year old from the rough side of the tracks in WA lay out one of Melbourne’s pampered young football “royalty”

Credit to meima, he was the only one around here that thought he had an AFL career in him.
For a rookie pick , well worth the risk . You should get Richmond Ben Miller back to WA , I remember you rate him highly .

Haha, I’d like to get him and Bolton back.

Bolton we should get cheap now. He’s clearly fallen behind Stack and Baker who’ve come in after him. Miller is going ok in the VFL after a terrible run of injuries.

They saw it but were put off by the off-field thing. He was always top 30 on talent.

I can understand the WA clubs overlooking him because he needed to get away from his Perth influences. Silly by the rest though.

I just saw a tweet from Goosage saying that Sumich rated Stack clearly the most talented in the WA 18’s squad.

I gave you another WA player that are out of contract that are decent back up for Lobb and Sean Darcy - Darcy Cameron.

Despite all Bennell's mishaps i don't think he was ever really a bad guy or even a real "rat bag". The drug stuff at the GC was really stupid but all the episodes with us seem to stem from extreme frustration through his f**d up calves.

That said, once he's off the books i hope we do take some low cost punts again in the draft with guys like Stack etc because while they're nice guys and i'm not writing them off yet, guys like Giro, Crowden, Meek and Jones and the like are probably the safe options and don't have much potential to be stars like some of the misguided, high talent kids may be, which we've probably avoided in recent times due to the frequent mini-incidents off late which seem to accumulate into a perceived image of a dodgy culture.

What is going on with Melbourne....

They look completely disinterested and not engaged with each other at all. They look like a team of individuals that are all waiting for someone else to stand up and take responsibility.

No Hogan...No Demons

My fiercely loyal Western Australianism like this.

Well done. You saw something that all of the club recruiters (including Richmond’s) didn’t. Freo need to give you a job.

Everyone that went to a Perth WAFL game last year saw that he was special, as in the best 17 year old I had seen in years. It's a bloody shame that his difficult circumstances scared away the club from a gem. Richmond has got the freebie of the year.

I’m loving this footy
Does anyone know if Liam baker is any relation to Leon baker ?
Formerly of Swan districts and Essendon?
I thought the same thing about Baker.
I'm so glad I put him into my supercoach team.
good little player, even though it looks like he is wearing a coonskin hat

and this won't be a popular opinion here, but I reckon Viney is genuinely tough. He took a big hit, didn't sook, nor look for retribution, & kept on going to the best of his ability, which had been diminished by that clash.

also, I'm an Angus Brayshaw fan, but a couple of his tackling efforts were weak & as has been mentioned by Square Peg, he could get some lessons from his little brother, who can tackle very well.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

yeah good point, still, would’ve liked us to have faith in our culture, especially our strong indigenous group, to get the best out of him.

oh well, happy for the kid seemed to have put a lot of work in when he got to train with the tiges and it’s clearly played off

Seems like him getting out of WA may have been the best result for him.

Is like you don't go to toilet and shit sometime . You don't make mistake sometime , stop being a bullies or dictator . I don't go around and abuse people I disagree with like you do .

Fair few supporters on here were on the Ian Hill band wagon after seeing Both, Stack was always my preferred option as you say he just oozed class from the few WAFL games I saw of him.
