From the early beginnings where he was still getting the hang of the rules to the hilarious brain fades, amazing solos and scintillating run off half back, it's been great to watch!

I've always had a soft spot for Irish players (am lucky Geelong has a couple) and really enjoyed watching McKenna play. Loved his daring runs off the back flank and the party tricks of kicking the ball to himself. Definitely a loss to the AFL, and hope he is content at home.

Would’ve liked him to stay but his head isn’t in it and I think that’s understandable.

Everything that everyone else is going through in hubs separated from their families, he’s been doing for years and at a greater distance. Unsurprising that 2020 is the final straw.

Leaves with one hell of a highlights reel too. Pity no ultimate success but plenty of players play twice as long and never get that.

We did well to get as much out of him as we did, his heart was always set on Gaelic and that showed in his play style.

He has had some of the better highlights you will see in such a small amount of time in the AFL and should be remembered fondly for his time with us

Appreciate everything he has done for the club and the time he spent away from his family, sad to see him go but would rather him leave then continue to chug away when his heart isn't in it.

the same should go for any other listed player. If your head and heart aren't in then pack up and get out.

No matter what the sad sacks say, for a category B rookie he has repaid the investment through his play, particularly last year and I wish him all the best back in Ireland.

Hopefully you leave the club in love with it still, regardless of the a**hats in the media being quick to slam him.
