Still anticipating Richmond at full strength - if any of Dusty, Bolton or Lynch miss it will be a bonus.
Suspect they will all be named and we'll only know at the late change deadline.

We have responded pretty well when undermanned since the Gold Coast game, think we can give it a good shake tomorrow.

Sam Durdin to debut ...

As frustrating as our injuries are, I'm really excited to see what we have in Durdin. We'll have a good idea after the next few games.

Young got a similar opportunity through Jones' retirement and Omac's injury and has shown to be a very good player...Durdin could be the same.

Whether good or bad, we'll know what we have and that will help us with list management decisions at the end of the year.

Well, if we are going to have injuries, I prefer it wasn't in game. 3 times we have lost this year, when losing an important cog early in the 1st quarter

It’s about bloody time it happened to our opposition for a change

[PLAYERCARD]Sam Durdin[/PLAYERCARD] to debut ...

Just play your role big fella, spoil the ball hard when not in position, mark the ball when you are and hand off to the smalls and whoever you play on be so far up their date they need Metamucil for days after to learn how to shit again

out:
Cerra - Marchy - Optimism
in:
Dow - Durdin - Hope
(actually wouldn't mind seeing Setters in the guts. In and under role, see how he goes)

Really feel for Marchy - he looked so relieved on Friday night in the rooms. Imagine how he felt on Sat/Sun when the pain started kicking in. He would have been nervous calling the doc and the coaches. Poor fella.

Get well soon Marchy. Again. :'(
Hope is overrated

I would think Young would play on Lynch but Riewoldt worries me the way we are. He looked really good last week, looks back in form. Who is tall enough and quick enough on our list? Is Durdin quick? Kemp? Marchbank would have been ideal but he's out. Kemp might have to take Riewoldt I feel.

Last time we played them we beat them with Weitering, McGovern and McDonald, none of who will be playing.

We are going to have to dominate the midfield and score well up the other end, I feel we are vulnerable with our defence so down on numbers.

I'm guessing the team will be like this tomorrow

B: Newman Young Plowman
HB: Docharty Durdin Saad
C: O'Brien Cripps Newnes
HF: Fisher McKay Martin
F: Durdin Curnow Silvagni
OB: DeKoning Walsh Hewett
IC: Boyd Kennedy Dow Owies
SUB: Kemp/Cottrell

OUT: Mrchbank Cerra
IN: Durdin Dow

Every win we get the next tree weeks is gold. I still think we win this one, there is enough quality there and structurally it's still ok.

31 scoring shots to 21 last time out
Viewed through that lens, have they caught up/improved by 50% to beat us?
I don't think they have
On the output of Charlie and Harry alone (1 goal combined Rd 1), I think we are at least the equal of if not better than our Rd 1 side - even accounting for defensive absences
Backing us to win
Not to mention that our team defensive structures and systems have very much solidified since then. We are slowing teams' transitions right down, which we really didn't do until several rounds into the season. Richmond are coming up against a much more established system

No surprise that De Koning is sore; he has been asked to do a mountain of work, and has stood up superbly since the smashing he got from Witts. Not only has he competed hard, and for long minutes, even when overmatched (e.g. Darcy, and also Draper/Phillips), he has dished out some lessons of his own (especially against Hickey/Ladhams; I hope we will be able to look back at that as a breakout performance).

But the next three games are a difficult proposition. If he's sore now, he'll be significantly sorer once Nankervis has finished with him, irrespective of how the clearances fall. Off the back of that, we are expecting him to go alone against Darcy, and then possibly alone against Ryder/Marshall? I think something has to give.

TDK seems to end up on his back after too many centre bounces. Jumps early and past the ball and then leans back to try to tap, then goes to ground. It is going to be a long season for him with this technique.

Bolton kills most people. I really wanted a full tag on him, but we really don’t have anyone that can follow him all over the ground.

Bolton kills people, you say...

In all seriousness, if he is out, we win. As simple as that. An absolute matchwinner.
