You guys all filling your dacks 😂

when I think of David Walls and his recent drafting and trading record I fill my pants too…but at the front.

seriously also put Taylor on ignore regarding anything to do with list management…her fingers start typing and turds fall out

Do the eagles have the same issues with Colin Young as we do? Surely several players on their list are also managed by him?
Hard for freo to get too upset about Young when he also manages [PLAYERCARD]Justin Longmuir[/PLAYERCARD]

Hopefully for north, Clarko keeps his mittens off the list managers and doesn't convince them to ship off their early picks for ready made players. They need to keep hitting the draft and only bring in mature players if they're free agents. Slow build
I don't think Clarko is that dumb.

He knows North need to build from the ground up. Similar to Hawthorn back in 2004-2005.

Hawthorn was a different situation having won 4 premierships in 7 years Clarko could afford to experiment and push the rebuild back by continually topping up and trying to get a team around 11th or 12th mark into finals.

Anyone interested in adding Dayne Zorko on a 3 year deal to add some extra mongrel and a mature body to our midfield?
Future second for him would surely tempt brisbane..

We’ve managed to get our dickhead quotient down to record low levels … so no.

I think some people on here believe they are good enough to be a talent scout and list manager.

One would think Walls has them covered.

All good, you guys keep convincing yourselves our forward drafting has been exceptional while venting about our lack of forwards in the game day threads on a weekly basis.

Have we drafted well? Yes.

Did we draft our forwards too late, meaning they're still years away from being competitive weekly? F**ing oath we did, we've essentially finished our rebuild and we didn't use a top pick on a key forward until the very end, so when Lobb leaves in a few months we're in big trouble.

Cheeky heads up, if you're going against the "popular" opinion on here, you're probably not bias and you're probably right.

It wasnt walls fault that he wasn’t given the chance to use pick 6 on Ben king in 2018 and instead we traded in Hogan who was meant to be a key forward for the next decade

I’ve never been more tempted to ban someone for a post

I try to forget that we could've had Ben King.

All that aside, he's actually my favourite non freo player to watch, absolute gun. Seeing as we're essentially no chance of bringing him to WA, I bloody hope he stays on the GC for most/all of his career

2022
J Hogan 17 games, 32 goals, 32 tackles, 220 disposals (Age 27)
R Lobb 19 games, 34 goals, 30 tackles, 211 disposals (Age 29) - leaving at end of the year
M Taberner 13 games, 23 goals, 13 tackles, 123 disposals (Age 29) - broken
B King 0 games - flight risk

I don't think trading him in was the wrong call. That's hindsight hero stuff. He would have been a very good addition to our team this year (in a part of the ground we are weakest) and especially in the years to come when Lobb leaves and Taberner remains broken.

The fault was that Jesse couldn't get his shit together - but that's on him, not the trade.

This is a fair call but there probably hasn’t been too many opportunities. Just a quick bit of research below:

2016 - Todd Marshall (prob a reach at pick 8)

2017 - Aaron Naughton (instead of Cerra at pick 5); we weren’t really in a position to get an early second round pick for someone like Oscar Allen

2018 - Ben King (instead of trading pick 6); possibly Jacob Koschitzke instead of Valente (and not doing that live trade to push up a few selections)

2019 - Wouldn’t change

2020 - Talls like Shannon Neale around our second pick would be still developing
