Good:
Avoid embarrassing ourselves in front of Geelong next week. Pretty sure they’ll pump Brisbane but surely the Lions are a better chance given how cooked we looked late.

Petracca, Harmes, ANB and Petty all busted their campaigners on a dirty night.

Bad:
12 goals to 5 from 28 points up with 16 seconds to go in the second. Every loss we’ve had this year bar Geelong has been similar. We get to a point of putting the game out of reach and then get really passive when the opposition gets a run on. At first we blamed loading and then it was injuries, surely the biggest factor is mindset?

Salem, Jackson, Viney, Brayshaw, Gawn, Oliver were passengers.

Fugly
The forward line
Undisciplined shit from Pickett and Lever in the last
Sparrow, Brown and Rivers were all mind bogglingly shit.

Honestly, who here said that ANB should've been dropped? We lose by 50 without him tonight. He's literally one of the better players in our 22 as far as I'm concerned. When half of our team were applying a blow torch to the ball in front of goals he actually kicked them.

Tom Browne said around 10 players got scans last week. No wonder we were shitter than usual.
And yet what does Goody do? No Change. GTFO.

Win it in front of their home crowd they said! All words this club. Worst finals campaign I can remember from aside finishing Top 2. Absolutely shizen on so many levels.

That's an excuse when we played the exact same as every other game in the second half of the year.
It is what is is. We were flat as **** in the most important game of the year. Nobody cares about excuses, we played poorly either way.

Enjoy *21 Champ.

If flags at the G are the only ones that count why are you so salty about last year still? Seems like flags at Optus count for twice as much to me.

It is not the loss it is the spud like plays that led to the loss, This was peak Neeld era stuff.

Petty and Spargo played great and a few others chipped in but it was so few.

Should have dominated in the ruck but Gawn and Jackson offered so little at the end of the day.
Spot on, and IMO, the spud plays started with individual defenders efforts. Lever you efin spud with the ball, when pressured. Or with time. Any chance you might find an attacking option.?

Gawn played sore.
Tracca played sore.
Oli was sore.
Brayshaw a bit as well.

This soreness has come about from our past 8 weeks of brain-dead plays from our defence. And poor skills from our D50.
Slow plays from D50 puts us under the pump, causing more hard collisions when we are scrambling.

And it kills our tall forwards confidence.

Post Grand Final Post:
I've felt pretty ordinary all day and my mind keeps panning back to mid way through the 3rd. How TF did they end up kicking 100 points to 7 with 40-45 minutes left in a GF? It still hurts and I've managed to avoid seeing all of the after match carry on so far.

Doggies to bounce back next year with a few needed changes/improvements and hopefully we get our chance again next year at a packed MCG.

Sorry I just had to, let it all out little fella

It's not the end of the world but we really should have been making a preliminary final at a minimum. We couldn't kick a winning score against brisbane tonight what chance would we have against Geelong's defence. I'm with others in saying hopefully this loss gives the club a big reality check and we actually do something about our forward line and forward connexion. The difference in the game was brisbane were able to find targets when we couldn't. That third quarter was diabolical we had chances and blew it, everything was just much easier for brisbane. Then we finally got some reward and they kicked 2 in a minute. It's frustrating because we had chances last week against Sydney as well, it felt that we lost the same way twice. I'm going to be optimistic and we can fix this. We are obviously doing things right if we've managed to have decent leasds in matches but we've just been lacking in ability to shut the gate on teams.

We couldn't rest anyone we were terrible back half of the year.
Cats were resting/managing players throughout the whole year.

What's the point of going 10-0 if you cant plan ahead? Would have been better if we had a softer draw at the end of the year or were in decent form but there was plenty of opportunities to rotate the squad.

Bit sobering. Someone died at the game tonight. Witnessed closely by some family and friends. Just collapsed and hit his head on the ground. Couldn't be resuscitated. Got over the result very quickly hearing about that.

Which games would we have been able to rest players? Cats have won about 13 in a row we were desperately clinging onto top 4
