Does anyone else get Donovan McNabb vibe from Russell Wilson. Was great to good QB for original team but once traded the decline was sharp out of the league in 2 years.

Wow. That is harsh.

Donovan never, ever behaved like the git that Russ, Baker or Johnny Football did.
Also McNabb was hardly walking for a uuuuuuge payday. The Iggles traded him (against McNabb's wishes) for two 4th rounders.

While he did sign an extension with Washington, it only had $3.5 million guaranteed, and he was traded to the Vikes for I think a 5th or a 6th rounder.
As part of that trade he gave up most of the future bonus triggers in his contract and played out games in Minni for veteran minimum.

In both Washington and then Minni Donovan was never anything but a pro off field, even when being relegated for the likes of the great Rex Grossman or the awesome Christian Ponder.

Compare that to how Russ would react (and how many excuses / leaks he'd make) if the Broncs start Brett Rypien over him?

Ravens All-Pro LT Stanley expected to play Sunday.

It will be his first game since he played a half in game 1 last year. Prior to that he was out for 12 months with an ankle injury.

Stanley ranked top 5 in pass and top 5 in run blocking according to PFF.

Stanley will replace a fourth round rookie (was also fourth on the depth chart) who made his first start against the Bills and first start ever at LT. Stanley will be the fourth Raven to play LT this year with the other two backups going out injured.


Huge boost for the Ravens offence.
