Likely to get roped in to assist in surgery
This is so true.

Spent a half a day in the QEH ED on Sunday (don't ask). Found the only way to really tell the difference between the best registrars, doctors, interns, nurses, catering staff and cleaners in a hospital was to look at their shoes.

The people in the nondescript comfortable shoes were the ones with knowledge and experience who have a clue what they are doing and actually gaf.

Whatever you do. Stay away from the guy with the moleskins and RMs. In any environment he is the w***er to be avoided.

P.S. Was an important looking guy wandering through the ward with birkenstocks and socks when I was there. I kid you not. Guessing he was from the psych area. Or maybe there to advise on Zen lamp fittings. I left before I could find out but highly impressed with high quality or professionalism and care of our publicly funded emergency department.

And a message to Edgie:

From my experience Friday and Saturday nights are the absolute worst time to enter the public hospital system with a sick kid because staff are overwhelmed with adult inpatients from end of week 'antics'. While it's a hard ask when it's your kid who needs care, it really helps to understand the pressure your carers are under and be exercise a bit of patience and a lot of respect for what they are trying to do.

Good luck!

Maternity ward is literrally on the opposite side of the Lyell Mcewin to Emergency.

Simona Halep in a bit of bother. Pretty much career over at this stage of the game. Hard to come back after a doping ban.

Have The Fertiliser/Channel 7 Adelaide worked in a Port Adelaide angle yet?

" I was thinking of you the whole time "
" Just this once and never before"
" I thought we were in an open relationship"
" It's not what it looks like"

Shame she was a favourite of mine.

One day someone will come out and say what they've be using and how they've been masking it.

Hancock pulls out of Netball Australia $15mil sponsorship deal.
Netball Australia now looking at betting agencies to cover the funding shortfall.

It's like satire in real time.

Not sure it's satire.

Can you imagine why an Indigenous player (or any Australian with a conscience for that matter) would be opposed to wearing the Hancock name on the back of their netball outfit?

And let's not forget that Netball Australia did not consult with any player or player representative about key aspects of its partnership with Hancock Prospecting before announcing it..

Because if they had and got Lang's daughter/heir to sit down with player representatives and work out a solution to the obvious issues they might well have found an acceptable solution.

Just another example of headstrong, know-it-all sports administrators chasing dollars with no bloody clue about their responsibilities to the game or the community imho.
