I wouldn't mind Hollands coming back in.

Hunter and Langdon aren't big strong physical types and I think we missed his incredible running capacity.

There’s no world we are better off without McKay. Even with the yips he can stay outside 50 and hit up lead better than anyone. Not the time of year for him to be working through confidence issues though.

The concern is the double teaming that happens to Charlie when Harry isn’t there. Reduces Charlie to a “bring it to ground” threat.

Last time we played Melbourne Charlie wasn't really double teamed that much, he was just played really close by May and probably beaten on the night.

You cannot underestimate the quality defender that May is, very strong very capable. Charlie just needs to try and get separation more often because body on body he's got not much hope.

Yes, I know, but this is a cut throat final, the stakes are much higher. I will still back us in to get the job done but would feel much more comfortable about it with those guys playing.

Kennedy and Dow to ensure we have options in the middle. Kennedy and Cripps to also spend time half forward as Martin replacement and ensure their defence is kept accountable.
Hollands as sub to add some run late in the game and coverage for Acres/Cotts who we don't want to lose early.

Melbourne should have beaten Collingwood. We will need the 22 at its best and focused. This will be the biggest challenge this year.

Both have important forwards out, but believe we are in good form

Acres looks extremely sore at the end and was carrying his arm, would have to be in some doubt. H, Martin and Acres out would be catastrophic for our chances.

we beat the Dees without Harry, Silvagni, Cerra, Walsh and McGovern

This time around we have them all back except for Harry and Martin

They are missing JVR and Melksham

I think that was a mistake. He lacked compoure at key moments. Kennedy or Dow would be better options in Friday, if the game needs locking down late.

Last night’s game was interesting.
Port had more clearances, contested possessions and tackles but were absolutely burned on the outside by the Brions - the defensive intent across the ground was severely lacking.
Whoever plays them will likely win the clearances and contested possession again - it’s whether Melbourne or Carlton can bring more pressure to give the Lions less time to transition. Their forward line is difficult to stop if the ball comes in quick.
