I’d imagine now the military avoid them so they don’t have to ‘deal with it’, the type of people who use the term woke would put that down to wokeness too. Rather than helping teenage boys.

Totally agree.

A living example is Phil Jamieson from Grinspoon. He had to change the way he sang to keep that band going.

The 39 forecast for Tuesday will seem like a cool change. It's the schmucks in the burbs furthest from the coast that I feel sorry for - it's usually 3 or 4 degrees hotter there and they don't get much of the sea breeze that (usually) provides some relief in the afternoon/evening.

Funny enough you mention this.

Our daughter was diagnosed as moderately autistic last week by a psychologist. The missus's dad is ex-army, current reserves, and also a PT/martial arts instructor. When he spends time with her he you know, does the only thing he knows how which is teach her military or workout drills, she responds very well to it. Even at this young age she's the kind of person that would grow in that environment.

I was listening to a thing on the radio once of a pub singer who met Jimmy Barnes, and Barnsey identified that the way he sung was ultimately unsustainable and also placed a risk of developing vocal cancer, so he coached him on how to do that style of singing in a better way. I wish I knew the more in depth side of what was talked about because it sounded interesting.

Barnes has held on to his voice pretty well all things considered so it must have worked.

I got denied when i was 19 because in the psych exam they asked me about my family history and I said my dad died when I was 10, the examiner shut up shop immediately and said I needed to get a report from a psychologist. Which I did, and they responded by barring me from applying for five years.

I even appealed it, with references from serving members and they reduced it to three years lol.
