Probably isn't groundbreaking analysis but I think the easiest way to describe us in the last 4 years is we aren't fun. There's no fun in the place. It's meticulous, methodical, strategic etc but not fun.

Watching the highlights of the other teams and they are fun, footy is supposed to be that. We've taken every single bit of fun out of our games outside some random Kozzy magic.

Yep, not once did you rock up to the MCG expecting to do a number on a team for 4 quarters. You got nothing but an ugly, squirmish watch where you felt nothing but a small sense of relief when it was over. Not once did we torment a Collingwood or Carlton or whoever that will no doubt be tormenting us for the next 5 years. To paraphrase the great Neale Daniher, When all's said and done- alot more was said than done by this football club.

Tmac about the only one playing consistently well and he's said multiple times how he's just out there enjoying it all as he knows he doesn't have long left.

Good: [PLAYERCARD]Trent Rivers[/PLAYERCARD] playing Mid. I know supercoach is not the be all and end all, but 131 sc points with 21 disposals, shows just how impactful each one of his touches are. He is brave, fearless and always does the team first option. The complete opposite to Oliver.

I also think that in the last few minutes of the game. I think [PLAYERCARD]Harrison Petty[/PLAYERCARD] finally showed up.

Bad: Goodwin thinks we played 3 good quarters and are back to our 'brand'. If you can call his odious defensive game style a 'brand'. I think we played 1.5 good quarters and that's being generous.

Ugly: Our game style. I think we are possibly the ugliest most unwatchable side in the competition now. Worse than St Kilda and Fremantle. At least when the GC and Essendon lose they are good to watch. But this negative, force as many boundary throw ins and stoppages that we can, is a serious stain on the competition.

[PLAYERCARD]Clayton Oliver[/PLAYERCARD]. One of my favourite players has now become my most hated. Selfish, lazy. Only runs one way. He gave away so many free kicks in frustration that cost us badly and stymied each of our momentum runs. Shows he only plays for himself and not the team.

Kane cornes summed it up best. Max Gawn lauded Petty for an 11 disposal 1 goal game. Other key forwards would kill to be in his form right now

It makes sense though tbh. The style we were trying to play we were getting belted. And we simply don't have the pieces to pull it off. With Trac down and key players out of form, what option do we have?

We wanted some kids playing, and that's what we got. We actually had more under 22s than Norf. Lever comes back and our defence is our strength, so it makes sense we'd go back to a more defensive style. Our back 6 is still pretty solid. Riv looked very good in the midfield..hopefully he stays there and we see Koz and Sparrow and maybe Kolt thrown in there in the coming weeks which might make it a bit more dynamic. Forwardline still an absolute mess. No idea what we do there.

We all went through that era, you're not on your own there.

But to think we're going anywhere with Goodwin is guzzling the kool-aid to the extreme. The sooner the end comes, the sooner we move forward as a football club. One step back to take a million steps forward.

Its better to plateau mid table, (where we are abouts), and refit the list before it bottoms out.
Once bottomed out, it takes forever to rebuild and learn to win again.

I know Fritsch is a mercurial player, who's always going to have long periods where he doesn't impact the game, and that he wasn't helped by the delivery tonight, but Jesus he needs to show more effort when he's having a down night. Was absolutely monstered all game by a 19-yo.

Just weak pathetic non attempts to contest the high ball. Mostly would not jump to contest the high ball, simply allowing the defenders to mark the ball with ease.

Windsor looking more and more like Jayden Hunt as the weeks go by. Those 2 goals he gave up were unforgivable.

nothing about the performance that's worth celebrating.

It just delays the real change that is needed to take this club forward.

At the moment, we're slowly regressing back into irrelevance based on key powerbrokers at the club arrogantly believing we're a little bit of tinkering away from a flag and lacking the conviction to actually make change.

We are nowhere near it. The sooner people at the club realise that, the better off we'll be.

Like trying to perform a hand brake turn for the first times. We are just clinging on to resist the physics of our list.

No... not bottom out.

We're plateauing now mid-table (6-12) with good kids coming along, but are 2 Yrs off becoming leaders.

And In that 2 Years, we will lose Maxy, May, Viney, BBB, Melk, TMc, Salem, with Brayshaw now gone.

Trying to put an extra behind the ball while we're multiple goals up with 10 minutes to go against a historically bad team says it all really. Couple of positives (Kolt, Riv, Viney) but more of the same from the last month or so and I would be stunned if we're anywhere near the 8 by the end of the season.

Too many bads and fuglies to list them all but Fritsch and Oliver as senior players were absolutely horrendous. We're losing that game against anyone but North.

Playing 2 men down, anyone would lose.
