ok thanks for your response. fair to say i see things very differently. so many variables go into a successful period at a club and Tex has been unlucky to be here for a very unsuccessful second half of his career after finals in 2008, 2009,2012,2015, 2016 and 2017 (didnt check if he played all finals in early years but do remember him being BOG - 'the difference' Bruce said - when we beat Freo in the semi in 2012)What happened to our club the last few years under his and Sloane's leadership. I don't think either are anywhere near the 'club first' people espoused by the media/fans. And there's the continuing support of out of form senior buddies ahead of giving in form kids a crack that sits poorly with me. I think the club will be much better off as soon as Tex, Sloane, Smith and Laird are gone from the club. I cannot fathom how supporters can look at the toxic playing culture that developed and not apply any responsibility to the very clear and obvious leaders of the day.
will agree to disagree here as we wont ever find common ground or thinking - which is cool. and I am not sure Tex should be lumped in with others also - he is his own man
ps toxic culture - probably fair call in many ways at different times - but to blame Tex for that when so many other entitled Snr players, Pykes aloofness, Birdbrain etc - seems pretty unfair to me
