How can you blame Tim Lamb for this when you acknowledge his talent and injuries. How could Lamb foresee the guy doing an Achilles?

The constant Lamb hate on this board is laughable.
He's the list manager yeah? Gave up a 2nd round pick and a 3yr contract to a guy who literally cannot stay on the park. Has never been ae to stay on the park and was nearing 30 lol

2nd round picks are such a roulette wheel. They could be Langdon, Hibbo, or McAdams. You know the talent is there but injuries are unforeseeable.

32, Imean it's ended up being a bad trade, it was pick 32, like whoopty doo lol. Was a bit of a shot, if he gets fit and is available in a couple finals series it ends up being fine. But guarantee no one here can name the bloke who went at that pick without looking him up

Pick was basically ANB. So yeah, it hurts.

At the time I was definitely worried we gave up too much for him considering his injury history and age. Felt like overs but so be it, you can't 'win' every trade.

It was a future second and our stupid club probably banked on top 4 so though it was a mid 30s pick

It's funny that we got the pick back in the ANB trade which made the whole thing an absolute win for the Crows but then we again proceeded to throw away the pick immediately.

We really don't give a shit about picks outside the first round.

I didn’t mind the McAdam move.

The injuries aren’t a surprise given his history, particularly last year’s injuries. But a snapped Achilles is quite a different thing to your standard injury prone player type consistent soft tissue or dodgy back niggle that keeps them sidelined.

But they recruited him at the end of two consecutive straight sets finals campaigns. Got burned by Melk going down just prior to finals and with his age was a big question mark as to if he’d return. They thought they needed an immediate contributor profile player, not a project, to be able to make that little difference in finals. McAdam is X factor when he’s on.

You can say a bit of something more special in the forward line wasn’t the answer.

The move made a lot of sense but wasn’t without risk.

Didn’t work out.

It shows that we value ANB and Mcadam exactly the same on the trade table however.
Not really, but Crows absolutely bent us over in comparison to the two deals which were of same value pick wise. ANB will be fantastic for them. Leader, durable, gives 100%. We get McAdam lol

Nah, this ain't it.
I really dont care how we do it, but finishing bottom 4 would be great. Everyone gets fired, especially Lamb for trading our future first.

Its bloody exciting thinking about a club without Goody, Green and Lamb.

It sucks that the McAdam trade didn't work out, but I'm okay with it. It is what it is. I get that in a round about way we essentially traded ANB, but he was always going to leave because of the shit show that is the MFC.

I think 99% of Dees fans want Goody and Lamb gone. But wishing injuries on our players to get that done isn't the way. Besides, injuries probably gives Goody an excuse. Finishing low will probably happen naturally anyway. Change of gameplan not working, lack of offensive weapons, players wanting out and not buying in.

Tbh thing I'm most worried about is Rivers going back with McVee injured.
Dunno.

He had a couple of lively games as a mid against ordinary opposition and then was slaughtered (alongside everyone else, mind).

I’d want to see a bit more before being convinced mid is his best position right now. Could be in a year or two maybe
