To be fair, We had Flynn who until last week could barely get on the park and Bailey Williams who hits it at his feet, to oppo players or to himself. Very rarely to a general advantage space.
If North keep wetting the bed there's a fair chance he could end up back there, or Freo would be another option.

Where do you think the numbers being quoted by the Victorian media are coming from?
Do you think the eagles are ringing the Victorian media and giving them a running commentary on how much money and what contract length they have offered Allen and what they have heard Brisbane are offering and how the two offers compare?
Do you think the Brisbane Lions are ringing the Victorian media and giving them a running update on what they have offered and how it compares to what the eagles are offering?
Or do you think it is more likely that all of it is coming from Allen's management? And Allen's management group is notorious for using this tactic. They used it last year in fact with Elliot Yeo who is managed by the same muppets. Do you remember all the back page spreads in The West about how Adelaide were making monster offers to Yeo complete with specific numbers also. Where do you think the information for those articles was coming from?
And if you are going to say that the Victorian media are making it all up then why doesn't this happen with any other players? Why is this type of media coverage with details of dollars and years specific to Allen? Have you seen anywhere in the media what the Bulldogs are offering Bontempelli vrs what Collingwood are offering? Did we see a running commentary last year of how much money Barrass was being offered and how many years by us vrs Hawthorn? Do you see this kind of coverage with any other out of contract players other than the ones managed by Colin Young? No, you don't. There might be a reason for that.

What did you think of Dani Laidley’s article yesterday on Fremantle?
He did pick teams that don’t really have the explosive mids capable of running through a stoppage and/or rucks that don’t really jump. So they benefit more from a scrap at ground level.
If you watch Port, Butters, JHF and Rozee are always on the move looking for the HTA. I feel like our mids are in the same sort of mould as Ports. Harley and Hewett would dine out on the old school centre bounce setups with a quality ruck.
Also think the rules need to change. This garbage where a ruck can just take a position anywhere in the centre of the circle and play it like a normal stoppage is gross. Should have to start outside and run in like it used to be.

They got rid of that because rucks kept suffering PCL injuries in knee on knee collisions.
Simmo clearly understands the game but just couldn't get the players to do what was required.
I think he had a disconnect between how he wanted the players to play and what his squad was actually capable of.
He wants the Freo job and I think he'd be great for it. Would be hilarious if an ex Eagles premiership coach wins them a flag. A lot of Eagles supporters would back him in and it would really blunt the "us vs them" moment. That would be classic Freo, finally win one and west coast fans claim a bit of ownership.
It actually makes sense. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was the co commentator cause that call came out of no where

WAFL comms was Paul Persic.
Who I believe was responsible for giving Tyrell Dewar his Dee-wah nickname.
Called him that throughout a game instead of “dew-ah” and it has stuck.

Happened in the commentary on the last WAFL game. An Eagles player kicked a difficult goal and the commentator put on an Italian accent and said something like "Santa Maria what a goal!".
Definitely had to hear it live because those that did have been using it non-stop for days. Not really that funny to those that didn't hear it.
This segment is the only thing worth watching on this show and they barely get 10 minutes.
There was a threat to ban anyone who exposed the sacred origins of santa maria.
Well he says it. The older mids just can't get it and neither do the younger ones.
The older blokes because they're too used to the old system and the younger ones because they're still learning.
We've only got old and young mids.
