But ANZAC day is special , we could've had something , but won't hesitate for a few other causes

I agree, I think the sports teams who do it actually get some personal stories across to a wider public that would never have been told. Makes me a bit more appreciative of their sacrifice, adds a personal element to the day. Hope we have one for next year.

I also understand the point of not monetising it or commercialising it. Maybe just have the jersey for the players & auction it off for veteran support/funding?

At karaoke tonight, had at least 71 beers but I think this is a sign

We will win and Matt rowell will retire in shame

Outstanding post & thank you, ANZAC Day is extremely special & important, & the club should have some type of acknowledgment on this weeks Jumper,
Heard a caller to SEN before , he said the AFL having these games makes a lot of people aware of the sacrifices our service men and women made . We really are still a lucky safe country due to those men and women and the club should've acknowledged it somehow.
We actually played the 1st ever ANZAC game out of Australia when we played the Saints in Wellington

To me, ANZAC Day is the most special day of the year. I’ve taken the kids to the dawn service this morning.

I love the ANZAC Day game. And I love the ceremony before it.

I do not, however, believe that special jerseys add anything. In fact, I think they cheapen it. Players wearing the traditional guernsey means more than some “special” thing produced for marketing purposes.

13 clubs are wearing special ANZAC jumpers including GC , but we are not ! We won't hesitate having a rainbow one later in the year , get the priorities right !

Have a few friends who in particular feel included around the pride round.

I personally think there is space for both.

There is , it's about doing nothing for this and i have friends and family in the lbgt community . It's just we are seeming to make a bigger deal of it

Dawn service is so special and all Aussies should go at least once . The jumper doesn't have to have a massive change like the Tigers , maybe just at least an ANZAC badge on it , that would do .

I'm not one to bang on re posession count as I think you can have maximum impact with minimal possessions (i.e McInerney is someone who can do serious damage without finding a heap of the ball). But simply put warner is no longer doing enough. All well and good being an inexperienced player trying to crack in and putting effort in - but he just is not ascending to the level we need from an AFL level player. He doesn't play with the expected confidence and flair of a competent footballer.
Might be straining a bit, but now Chad has signed, it may be easier to drop Corey. Coughs it up a bit under pressure.

Wicks out Injured with the latest team reports
I'd like to see Sheldrick in and shuffle the magnets but my gut tells me Paton will come in as a straight one for one swap. Suns have a very strong contested midfield and if they get on top, i don't think we will be able to defend ourselves a victory.

Lets just laugh at the forward line being spearheaded by Francis and Ladhams but if you don't you will cry
