Just feels like he's a "poor little rich kid" type...

Could be a highly respected commentator (like Thomas or A Hudson, perhaps?), but chooses to be a nark. A whinging, carping, antagonistic nark. Sad.
He isnt capable of any deeper more intellectual thought then bullying antagonising or playing the victim. He has accurately predicted the only way he gets his absurd and biased views across is by sprouting shock jock nonsense.

Riccuito wants the 2016 flag reviewed 😂😂

Ex-Crows Star Mark Ricciuto Calls for AFL to Investigate Runaway Umpire Troy PannellAdelaide Crows legend and club director Mark Ricciuto has urged the Australian Football League (AFL) to investigate former umpire Troy Pannell, who is currently wanted by authorities for allegedly masterminding an $8.7 million fraud scheme. Pannell, who officiated 219 AFL matches between 2005 and 2018, is accused of defrauding his former employer, SeaRoad Shipping, by setting up a fake company, Independent Container Surveyors & Assessors (ICSA), which invoiced SeaRoad for non-existent container repair services between 2015 and 2024.

Ricciuto's call for an AFL investigation stems from Pannell's controversial history as an umpire, particularly a 2016 match where he awarded 17 free kicks to the Western Bulldogs and only one to the Crows, sparking accusations of bias among Adelaide fans.

My favourite line is where he says the dogs would have only finished 8th and probably not advanced past week 1 😂😂

Cause it was so easy from 7th!
A game where we had 10 more scoring shots, 80 more disposals, 31 more inside 50s…

TBF, that match against Adelaide in 2016 was very poorly umpired. The uproar was well and truly justified.

Cool I want the AFL to investigate that Goal umpire in the 1997 preliminary final that called Libby’s goal a behind

We were outplayed that day and only had a semi comfortable lead because of Adelaide's woeful conversion rate.

That goal umpire was Jay Z's father.

Troy Pannell, master criminal who didn’t stop at multimillion dollar fraud, but also was the cunning brain behind our premiership! When does the movie come out?

Harry Scheezel on Unfiltered saying how Cornes' negative comments impacted him. It sounds like he got over it ok but what an arse esp with the concerns about players' mental health
I heard a bit of that on my drive in today. It was fascinating listening to Scheazel talk about the impact that Canes opinions had upon him given the outsized reach that his megaphone has.

But what was more interesting was when he went into the comments section against his better judgement. Expecting more of the same criticism. Only to break down at the amount of support that he was receiving from the great unwashed out there.

It just goes to show that for all of Cranes bluff and bluster he’s just the wizard of oz when it comes to AFL commentary on the game. And all it takes is a look behind the curtain to see that he is in fact just a noisy one trick pony whose time will pass very quickly.

Roo has a point. The Crows didn't get a single free kick in the 2016 Grand final.

Was it Ricciuto or Modra who said they were secretly hoping the Crows would lose the Grand Final?

Edit: It might have been Modra in 1998 actually.

Alan Jones made an entire career out of spouting garbage.

Too many snowflakes these days. AFL is a business. Media is a business. Cornes is paid for his opinions. He praises players and lets people know if he doesn't think they are playing to the standard. Is he always right, no, nobody is. Why let it bother you. I watch a lot of the footy shows, find most interesting yet I do not understand why a club would even bother, let alone ban a media person. Have a look at the games played around the world, NBA, Premier league etc. triple the media scrutiny.... Its only going get bigger in Australia so clubs and players need to just get on with the job at hand.

Obviously any talk of reinvestigating the 2016 Grand Final is ridiculous but I'm not confident that someone who defrauded people out of millions wouldn't be capable of match fixing AFL games

Not sure I would call myself a snowflake - I just think he's a massive w@nker and would like to see less of his face.

I had no idea Ricciuto was such a whiny little b****.

Kind of sad, kind of pathetic, really desperate and someone who should be ridiculed.

Thought the Swans were sad with all their carping, but they actually played in the GF, they weren't eliminated two games before the GF.

It's not April 1 is it? 🤪

It’s always funny when people call anyone critical of Kane Cornes a “snowflake” like he’s some bastion of mental toughness. His own mate (and groomsman, no less) Dom Cassisi literally said Kane would struggle to show up to the club if someone criticised his game. Couldn’t train, wouldn’t talk to anyone, completely flat. But now he dishes out personal stuff like calling VDM the most unlikable player in the comp and people act like it’s just “honest analysis”. The bloke couldn’t cop it himself that’s the real snowflakery

If he was then surely no one is stupid enough to draw that much attention to themselves by giving out 17 frees to 1 and think it wouldn’t raise eyebrows.

I'm not saying that game specifically but more generally about his tenure as an AFL umpire

There’s no way I’d let Kane Cornes anywhere near the rooms before or after a game if he’d called one of my players the most unlikable in the comp.
