Well I’m assuming you haven’t watched Darcy Cameron play the last few years…

And if you want to throw Cameron’s 2020
Stats up when he was back up to Grundy that’s fine. How about putting uo
His numbers this year.. again Bailey Williams would be on no other list than ours

I've done this and you commented on it without reading them. Here they are again, since the bye Williams is winning 4% more hitouts than Cameron and is 0.2% behind him for hitouts to advantage. Cameron would be an upgrade on Flynn but paying anything with thoughts of upgrading Williams is just dumb.

So you’re comparing a second ruck against a lead ruck whose percentage would be effected against a much higher sample size of ruck knocks. Infact a third less…

You can polish Williams however much you want, he isn’t anywhere near a competent ruck

You'd have to take Walter over a speculative pick 2 in this draft, wouldn't you? Providing we can still add Sharp.

Its not perfect but you'd make it work with Walter, Jake and Jobe. Archer can GTFO.

You'd also be guaranteed to trade at least one of Jilliams or Billiams to make it. Ryan potentially too.

Ideally we'd incorporate it into some sort of pick split mega super dickhead deal.

Obeanie1 have at it.

Pick 2 is overs for Walter assuming any deal with the Suns comes with a promise not to bid on their academy kids. Dimma is playing too many talls and has to drop one before finals with many saying Walter should be the one to go out. He would be worth picking up even though I'm not a huge fan. I'd be offering the following: Suns drop him for finals, talk salary cap squeeze and take the Hawks pick and our future first [which might look like overs this time next year]. We retain pick 1 and 2 but the guts of the deal is no bids on their academy. We take Sharp and Duursma and if they are into CDT [which I doubt] they can probably easily get Norths pick off Richmond for their 2 firsts as Richmond probably don't want CDT either. We then trade Jack Williams to the Pies for Cameron as a straight swap.

He spends more than enough time each game rucking against the first ruck, he has no problems beating any ruck in the comp at the jump and will likely dominate Gawn in that stat on the weekend. It's the hitouts to advantage that has improved. You can shit on him as much as you want the fact is he is going fine for a 25 year old first ruck and you are wrong about him not being able to get onto any list other than West Coasts.

Leave Rosa's out and ask for pick 18 instead
I'd like that but I'd doubt they'd do it.

We need a proper crumbing forward but you're right that Rosas isn't the likely answer.
That trade would give us a killer tall forward combo, a potential very good inside midfielder. No point having killer talls unless you have a good small to make the most of the halved contest.

We all know Owies isn't it either. Long is potentially??? More a HFF. Champion perhaps with time?

Ah Chee is a good player but we don't need another marking forward...Lombard would be good ;-)

Geez would not want to bring in Walter. Looks like the type who’ll struggle to maintain the fitness to play as a KPF in modern day footy. Plays like he’s 220 cm.

full forward in the 90s? sure.

Makes it very likely we lose one of Archer, Williams or Shanahan if we do. What’s the point?

Hopefully it’s all just noise

I can’t believe how many people are dissing Walter, the kid will be a gun.
Not sure ppl are dissing Walter as such. He's probably not what we need to be spending our high draft picks on now, tho

Suns fan, zero chance Walter leaves unless we get a forward that would make us contend now, and even then is unlikely.

We also almost certainly don’t need/ really want a high draft pick this trade season. Sure it’d be nice, but I’d bet our only goals are get enough points for Patterson and Uwland + hopefully an experienced small or key forward

There you go guys, the GC recruiting manager has come in and put this rumour to bed

Yep. Not interested in pick 2 in any circumstances.

They have no need for such picks. Even to take another gun before bids on their academy kids and the drafts are about to be gutted by Tasmania. Not to mention the next two years looking thin on academy talent (from the Suns board not my opinion, I wouldn't know)

Must be bliss being a Suns fan. They need for nothing. ;)

It would be silly to trade for Walter this year. Eagles have more pressing needs ATM.

Now if / when he comes out of contract. Thats another story.

And we’re back on Liam Ryan to the GC…
