We paid quite a bit of $ for Collective Minds to tell us that the team is more important than your teammates not rogering your missus. And looks like those bast@rds got that advice free. Pity we didn’t work out a way to monetise the CM IP.
Looks like both teams didn’t realize the stick was sacred.

It's likely bullshit anyway, but isn't the rumour that he may want out of SA?
The illness for missing last week now potentially could be he was dealing with the fall out.

Of all Port players though Rozee doesn't seem like the type to do something like what's been alleged.

It’s ‘you’re’ and do I have to dig up your posts where you make it clear that you don’t listen to any MSM? You’re commenting on something that you’ve previously bragged about knowing nothing about.
I listen to mainstream media, just not SEN.

You're an oddball poster, thats for sure.

Agree, but he will be ok.

I just don't see how he has squeezed extra coin out of the club, when he basically had to beg for the extension.

The post I originally quoted assumed he is overpaid.

He always held the stronger hand. Decisions are being made based upon being in a contending period. We can’t go the next couple of years without a first ruck. Our interest in Draper has nothing to do with ROB not being our first ruck throughout the next 2 seasons. When you’re on the edge of a flag you take LM risks and deal with the pain later.

Agree with this the Rozee families both sporting wise and character wise are highly respected in my old hometown Port Augusta, his father Rob a champion of the South Augusta Footy club who he captained and coached later after a stint in the SANFL for South Adelaide.

I don't know about Nick Bryan overtaking him but the now 37 year old veteran Todd Goldstein getting games in front of or with either last year isn't really a great endorsement for their ruck prowess?

For a single second, don’t genuinely believe our interest in Draper is to take over the ‘thrive on massive workload and continuity’ ruck role that we’ve favoured through the last 15 or so years? A fully fit Draper would only push ROB to the bench for a rest a bit more, the design is not to have him out of the team in the next 2 years.

It’s not about ROB as a player, it’s a strategy adjustment. A portion may be courtesy of ROB’s age, but it’s not everything. We clearly want to retain the 3 tall forward structure and likely want to eliminate 2nd ruck duties from TT.

By the time we hit 2028, ROB might be first ruck depth or still shouldering the higher load, who knows. But what has not changed throughout the year is that LM Committee have a strategy that requires both ROB and Draper to be on the list in 2026 and 2027. What the plan is free that is up for discussion.

Not suggesting anything like this happened...but it is possible to misrepresent the written terms.

In a workplace agreement where team performance is vastly more important than individual performance, the club would have discussed it's vision for the duration of the contract and where the player might be expected to play their part. Notwithstanding all that you accurately stated above, ROB would have been provided an understanding of that vision.

Furthermore, ROB is such an off field leader, the club wouldn't be so stupid as to deliberately 'pull the wool over. Appalling precedent if so.

It's all smoke and mirrors anyway. Nas is coming and this Draper stuff is a perfect distraction for prying eyes. 🤫🤫🤫😜

There would be a loose understanding of what the contract period looks like. For ROB it would be that the club expects that he will remain primary ruck for at least the initial 2 years that we had on the table. What happens underneath that and any strategy adjustments in terms of sharing the load wouldn’t need to be discussed. Our objective is to execute our plans, not his. And that our interest in Draper was well known for months and months, if he hasn’t asked more detailed questions, then it’s on him.

And if he’s unhappy, he’s free to seek a trade. But just sounds like a guy that doesn’t want to have genuine week to week competition for his spot. Even though there’s no way that Draper would be physically capable of being a first ruck next year or even most of the year after.

Prince Andrew comes from a fairly well credentialed family too.
