Just looking at how our coach handled a similar situation last time, hopefully he doesn't go down the same route with Izak.
He won't. We're some sort of chance for a premiership and Izak is not looking like a broken-down player ready for retirement.

Have they been leaked? I would very much doubt that. Isn't this pile-on just made up by the journailsts after reading the official ruling?

Then if Ralph is making statements about BS not being aware of Rankines medical state then he is an even worse human being.

But I'm sure his post is popular with the mob.

I can't see a scenario where anyone actually wants us to lose that first game. Our best shot at a GF is a prelim at AO.
I didn't mean it like that more that IF we happened to lose, it will completely change the mood for Izak knowing he might be back in the game and his enthusiasm could be infectious on the training track

The hypocrisy is out of control. You can mentally destroy some publicly but not call someone a name in the heat of the moment out of the earshot of just about everyone.

Because being righteous in word only is a hell of a lot easier than actually doing something proactive for the down trodden.

How the **** is the world in such a state with all these saints amongst us?

He had every right to say that about Tex TBH.

I just feel like there's something with Izak thats a bit beyond your "regular" mental health stuff.
If you know someone’s true character you don’t add to the pile on. People make mistakes…. well I thought they did. So many perfect people around these days.

Name a broader social issue the AFL has handled well? The absolute darling in Australia of false righteousness.

Homophobia, indigenous people, mental health, concussion, family welfare, gambling, drugs....I'm sure there are people in AFL House who give their heart and soul to these causes but they aren't at the wheel.

But the AFL trips over everyone of these issues because they, as a whole, don't understand the issues themselves. Instead they just apply a thin veneer over it, acting on the outcome not the cause. She'll be right and now onto negotiating the next broadcast deal.

Of course. I was angry at Tex, as I was/am Izak. They let the club and themselves down.

Tex did so at a time when we were trying to escape a long period of bad news stories, and Izak has done so on the other end of the scale when we are flying. Equally as tough.

With Izak though I can escape this nagging feeling there's a deeper issue.

He has to not read the media.
What worries me is that he has to allegedly apologise to our AFL and AFLW players next week. Pretty demeaning, and what do the AFLW players have to do with any of this?

Nothing is ever enough for the woke movement. It is not possible to appease them because they are not acting in good faith.

You can apologize publicly, you can self report, you can submit to being “re-educated”… it will never be enough for them. They will destroy you anyway. Just like they’ve done to Izak.

The humiliation ritual is intentional, it is by design and you should reject it by telling them in no uncertain terms to GAGF.

Yes let’s embarrass him further
TBH him sitting down for a coffee with the members of the club in the gay community might actually be the best thing he can do. People he knows and has the respect of, sitting down informally for a chat.

I wouldn't be standing him up in front of the group

Next time just ask them what they have actively done to progress the cause they demonstrate such outrage on behalf of.

I bet not much.

There's a country not far from us that outlaws homosexuality. I guess only homophobes go to Bali.

There's nothing in the post at all.
It was clip from Silvers press conference in which he talks about the clubs anger/disappointment at leaks to certain media outlets in a process that is supposed to be confidential

He said there was some accuracy with some leaks, and others were just untrue (lies)

Medical reasons to reduce the sentence from 5 to 4, I’ve seen it all.

You either have medical reasons or you don’t, nothings going to reduce a penalty from 5 to 4.

I agree its very weird. I would suggest that it could be a reason for the delay. The AFL doctors had a look at the medical information and made their determination. Their doctors might have come to the conclusion it only plays a minor role. Its only speculative. But it would explain why it wasnt just thrown out as much as the medical reasons were used. Unfortunately for Izak and the club, the media will be hounded the club now for him to come out about his medical problem.
