[PLAYERCARD]Jack Silvagni[/PLAYERCARD] has told Carlton he will leave the club as a free agent but has yet to declare where he will play next year
Silvagni has received offers from both Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs and completed medicals at both clubs.
Both offers are similar four-year deals, which were also not dissimilar to the contract offer from Carlton, with Silvagni insisting money is not the primary reason for the move.

His choice between Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs will largely be informed by which club he believes he is more likely to help in a premiership window.

I'm seeing if I can get any more goss on it but I doubt he leaves Saints for the same role.

Wants to be No 1 ruck.
Seems there will be a lot movement with ruckmen in this trade period, so I guess he'll have a few opportunities elsewhere.

Play with his best mate Houston and in front of big crowds, or play on a concrete dump and be coached by Bevo? easy choice IMO

Well that's it then. It's us. Dogs can't win a premiership when they can't even make finals.

Tim kelly was one of the best midfielders in the game when he was traded back to WA. He also showed up to training and didn’t go awol for a big block of the season. Poor comparison
Family reasons are Family reasons Bobby is one of the best small fwds in the game. So those arguments are semantics.
Conflating training absences as being awol, is disingenuous, particularly to imply it devalues Bobby’s trade value.

Comparison is entirely appropriate.

The Dogs season ends tomorrow night. If there is nothing announced by the end of this week, I'd say that means the Dogs are out and Jo Silvagni is coming home.

I’d say there’d already be talk of him going there seems their season was over days ago let’s be honest. There’s none yet.

Suspect it won’t be very long until it’s (unofficially) out.

Just gave you a fairly sound reason why cap cheating in this day and age would be a rather dangerous activity. Always back self-interest.
How is participation in a land deal that subsequently gets rezoned making huge profits caught under the rules?
It’s not, and Bomber Thompson was one of those that had windfall profits from such a venture.
Just one example of getting around the cap.

Are you talking about a deal in Armstrong Creek? That consortium was a bunch of ex-Essendon types. Or is there another?

Because if there isn't, not sure of the links to the Cats?

You’d think he’s coming to us if the club isn’t announced since our season is still alive unlike the Dogs’ and considering the rivalry. Good get if that’s the case, his form earlier this year was really impressive in a struggling team. Also another good kick coming out of defence. Provided he stays injury-free he’ll slot in nicely replacing Howe in the defensive mix. And considering how hard we went for Keane and how good his year has been (AA!), I’m backing the club with their judgement here.

Interesting info today.

Prior to DC re-signing, Marshall had discussed the possibility of coming to us with the impending arrival of TDK.

Not going to go into the source but it's about as close as you can get to big Rowan.

With Cameron staying it's very unlikely now.
I had a chat with a Saints fan the other night about the fact Marshall was originally a forward.
Go back to your contact and tell him Marshall can come across and replace Cox in our system.
Also, remind him we have Fly, not Ross.

Edit: what others have said too

If he was going to the dogs he’d have told them already, their season is done, he’s not a distraction for them.

If we want to get technical, officially they aren't done until the suns beat essendon, which is expected to happen

Didn't Silvagni fail the Dogs' medical, but pass Collingwoods? If that rumour was true, then that's probably all we need to know. Don't know why the Bulldogs would go after someone who doesn't pass their medical. If he did, it also concerns me a little. Why would he fail one but pass another?

If he ends up with us and can fix up his injuries, we'll be laughing.

Yes yes, technically blah blah blah. Everyone knows Essendon ain’t beating GC at home.

Jack did a Stevie J and failed the Dogs medical on purpose once he saw Bevo's angry head
