Just make them use their first and 2nd round picks if that player is to go in the first and be done with it.

They should be paying a premium to get access to a player out of reach of their current highest pick, not a discount.

Most would probably be happy with clubs having to pay a premium, based on where a bid comes.

The thing is, Barnett was a great draft pick. If my memory serves me right it was quite a steal at the pick we took him, mid-late 20s.


He just... didn't develop. It happens.

I think it’s time we got a decent Ruck coach into the club ,we have drafted reasonably talented draftees and none of them have come on in their development to a good solid level and we have had to source opposition B grader Ruckmen ..There seems to be a lack of urgency and training to get the best out of our Rucks .

RFA I believe and I don’t think Free agents can go to the PSD if their current club offers them a deal. Main draft only I believe.

mmmm, well there are only 4 RFA players without homes currently and OA is off to BRI, TDK to STK, Worpel?, Starcevich?
Not that I am super keen on Starcevich with his history, but I am happy that WC have asked the AFL to pony up something!
Pittance what was given to any other club as assistance.
Keep hearing that WC would like some more rookie spots which I think is the minimum we should get if the AFL is playing a straight bat.
