**** the freo. campaigners. Enough Mr Nice Guy with them from now on. Offer reidy 2 mill for 3 yrs.
This would also mean that we have access to the northern team's academy prospects as well though with pick 1....so there's absolutely no way the AFL is going to bring this in this year

FA compo is a joke given it incentivises clubs to let players go. Should be no compensation. Should be that you get a discount against the cap if you match an offer for them (e.g. 20% of their salary doesn’t count against the cap)

Need compo with the culture of this league of go home, teams taking less to go to winning teams ect.

Just like the bid matching it needs to be updated. To hit band 1 compo the amount needs to hit $1.4m? band 2 $1m ect

It's a joke next year. This year it's the best thing the afl has done.

FA could be simply fixed by saying you can only move via FA from a finalist to a non finalist. Will facilitate good players moving to poorly performed teams and will stop strong clubs picking the carcass of struggling ones.

Band 1=end 1R (90th-100th centile)
Band 2=end 2R (70th-90th centile)
Band 3=end 3R (50th-70th centile)

This might be the link ....don't blame me if cannot open !
Bye .
Sutherland knows shit about football, he should stick to chairing 3c a share mining companies and doing some maintenance work. He's only complaining to try and stop us from getting a compo pick for Oscar. if Freo had any decent F/S or F/A's leaving the friggin hypocrite would be singing a different tune. West Coast shouldn't ever ever pass up an opportunity to shaft that bunch of purple turds.

It's clearly not going to happen this year, but the academies, FS and FA have ****ed equalisation, so changes should be made

Agree with all your points.
Freo Chairman making this play on WC, reeks of desperation and missing out on a Sunday sleep in with the missus?

Why would you make an outrageous statement to the media to upset your cross town rival who knows more about the inequality of the AFL as you do and is your best ally in getting things better for all WA?

Must have been told the AFL is seriously thinking of granting the wish and got the word the AFL is going to grant 2 extra rookie spots also and have jumped their plans on a player?
Or been told that WC are trading in 1 of their targets this season emphatically and ain't happy Jan?
He's nothing but a D.H. that's why he is complaining. Goes to prove you can't work with Flogmantle.

Any trade we do with Gold Coast to move up would include a handshake deal not to bid on their players. They could just as easily take the Port pick to a number of other clubs. I also disagree with taking Duff-Tytler.

I dont see Josh Lindsay going in the top 5 anymore, he’s fallen off quite a bit in the last month or so. His kicking which would be the only reason he’d be drafted so high has lowered in quality a bit. Doesnt look like he’ll make it as a mid which is why he’d be drafted so high as a high floor hbf with mid upside.

I don’t see Essendon taking either of these two with Cumming, Sharp and Hibbins-Hargreaves still on the board.

He would not fall to 10.

The only way I see Saints ending up with Jevan is if they split picks. I think their main target will be Greeves, and if they can’t get him I see them splitting. Jevan I think will fall to later first round than this.

Not quite sure how Carlton end up with 2 picks here? A Harry Dean bid will fall inside the top 10, likely by the Saints, Essendon if Ridley leaves, or the Eagles.

I don’t know if I see Sydney keeping their first as they risk losing out on matching King. Especially if they are throwing the kitchen sink at Curnow.

Think they’d go Xavier Taylor before Hibbins-Hargreaves, as said previously I think Noah will be much higher up the board than this.

Dont know if I see Freo going for Barker, feeling like they’re more likely to go fwd in this draft as idk if Swit and Freddy stay in the team much longer. Dovaston here for me.

Don’t believe in the slightest that Carlton would receive band 2 for Silvagni personally. Band 3 at most.

this is completely bias and personally but I despise talk of drafting CDT, Archer can do everything he can, admittedly worse and ground level, but better in the ruck and taller. We should put it off until either of the next 2 years and get Benji Van Rooyen or Axel Walsh personally.

Love Cumming as a prospect but unless we split 1 or 2 as well as trade for 7 I don’t see him falling to us.
Maybe put the wine down and do your own mock draft Karen

I know Brock has his admirers on here and yes he’s fast and is a good kick but I don’t see anything else that resembles an AFL standard KPD. His decision making is poor-average, he gets moved under the ball too easily even by opponents smaller than him, he can’t stand up in tackles and is rag dolled. He doesn’t add enough offensively to be tolerated as a poor man on man defender.

I’d still draft and trade as if he wasn’t there, in the meantime he can fight with Bazzo to fill the spot until we come up with a medium-long term player.

I’d start Archer at CHB next year and have him also ruck in D50.
You don't see anything in brock that resembles AFL standard ?

He had a stretch for a month early in the season where he barley had a goal kicked on him .

In our team

Having only played a handful of games .

I acknowledged his speed and his kicking are AFL standard which I mentioned. Watch the 1Q of the Blues match at Optus.

"I think it's unfair that the first round of the draft will be pushed out so much that it will affect our first pick in the draft in round 2 after we traded all our first picks away." /Fremantle's completely transparent smooth-brained chairman.

Welcome to the reality of having average - to poor picks when you have a successful season fa(kwit.

You'r Clubs been a cellar dweller for so long that, the compromised drafts, haven't impacted you as much as the better more successful run Clubs.

So you are effectively saying that when you don't get early picks, or your players defect and you trade them out and get good trade compensation ( Weller, Cerra, Hill, Acres, Henry ) ..... its harder to build a better list.

Oh dear ... the true picture is starting to come into view.

Once you get to be a successful team all the hand outs, leg ups, and socialist freebies that you get when your crap.... stop.

When you have relied on favourable treatment from head office for so long, you forget how the system actually works.

Penny dropping slowly ...... for the Violet Crumbles President, the realisation of how the system actually works.

And it appears to not be going down, all that well.

The fact that a player in his first afl season has shut down good players completely in our side says alot.

The gap between his best and worst should get smaller.

He is probably our 2nd best KPD on our list. Way better than bazzo

Brock ?
He has been amazing this season for a guy who has never played an afl before this season .

198cm , elite pace and reach . Can mark or punch and has an awesome left foot for a tall .

He just needs a few seasons to put on some size . Like a young Eric makenzie
I think "amazing" is over the top.

IMO, he's been fair.
Still not strong enough at the contest for mine and plays a bit timid.

Has got good wheels and a good kick.
He's definitely ahead of Bazzo.
But that doesn't say a lot.

Let's not forget that he's been in the AFL system for 4 years, so this year wasn't his first rodeo as far
as training goes.

Like a few of our boys, I think he will be playing for his career next year.

Here you go queen.
The only trades I currently have pencilled in are Eagles trading 13, 22, and 52 to GC for Port 7.

  1. WCE - D. Sharp
  2. WCE - W. Duursma
  3. GCS MATCH - Z. Uwland
  4. RIC - C. Duff-Tytler
  5. GCS MATCH - D. Patterson
  6. RIC - Grlj
  7. ESS - S. Cumming
  8. ESS - J. Lindsay
  9. BRL MATCH - D. Annable
  10. CAR MATCH - H. Dean
  11. WCE - A. Schubert
  12. SYD MATCH - M. King
  13. STK - O. Greeves
  14. HAW - X. Taylor
  15. WBD - J. Farrow
  16. FREO - N. Hibbins-Hargreaves
  17. GWS - H. Barker
  18. GEE - M. LeRay
  19. ADL - J. Phillipou
  20. ESS - L. Emmett
  21. COL MATCH - Z. McCarthy
  22. SYD MATCH - L. Carmichael
  23. NM - L. Dovaston
  24. NM - O. Taylor
  25. ESS - T. Byrne
  26. ESS MATCH - A. Sweid
  27. MEL - A. Ludowyke
  28. PTA - C. Nairn
  29. STK MATCH - K. Fincher
  30. HAW - R. Onley
  31. WBD - B. Thredgold
  32. WCE - S. Ainsworth
  33. FREO - S. Swadling
  34. CAR MATCH - J. Ison
  35. GWS - A. Thomas
  36. GEE - F. Rodriguez
  37. GWS - M. Kondogiannis
  38. HAW - C. Curtin
Any missing picks have been eaten up bidding. This is from right after Swadling had 40 last weekend, so not quite up to date with the CTL results of the last 2 weeks. Some movers and shakers if redone would probably be Lindsay falling a little, Annable earlier, Hibbins earlier, King later, Grjl later, Barker and LeRay back a little bit, Dov and Byrne higher, Sweid higher, Ludowyke lower, Onley probably drops and Robey might jump into the top 2 rounds off the back of his monster game and mid minutes.

I'd never pretend to be the be all and end all of this stuff, there was just a few things I simply disagreed with. I love discussion more than anything and I am not telling anyone that they're categorically wrong and trying to put them down
