It is a little concerning.

But from the 40 players mentioned though, they said 8 would potentially be going to Brisbane and a sprinkling of St Kilda made up the majority of teams mentioned. Now being the half-glass type, I think it's just lazy journalism. St Kilda and Brisbane are the only two teams that have really confirmed FA going to them in TDK and Oscar. So, I think they've just gone "oohhh these guys look they're going to be aggressive during trade period" and off they go.

But yes, if our Trade period pulls only Starcevich. Would be starting to think the club exists for satire purposes only.

I’m kind of happy we are only going after Starcevich, if that’s the case. Unless it’s a quality free agent, I’d rather hit the draft.

Blight would be good depth. He always looked like he belonged at AFL level when he did play... but he does seem a low ceiling type with his lack of mobility. Old school gorilla defender, born in the wrong era.

If Scaife gets delisted by Hawthorn, I think he'd been an intriguing option to trial in defence. Has a booming kick, 197cm tall, good overhead, and pretty good straight-line speed (if not much of a turning circle). Maybe a change in role could unleash some untapped potential?

He was MSD KPD filler for Richmond as Gibcus was injured and Balta was has having some off field issues .. Presumably Gibcus is recovered and Baltas issues are good now ..

Add Trainor being developed and Miller sort of making the grade. Blight would be a great get. Worst business has been done in the corridors of Lathlain.

Realistically not many A grade mids are going to want to come to an interstate club, who are still at their lowest ebb.

Harley signing is a step in the right direction, and maybe in 12 months time we may look more appealing.

Starcevich would be a great signing, he's a solid unit and would provide great presence in the back half.

It would also allow us to use Baker and Mccarthy in different roles, which helps cover areas of need.

I wouldn't be able to pick him out in a line-up, but from my basic research and limited knowledge he at least is the right age and definitely addresses a glaring weakness (out of many) in the first 22.

Having Caminiti, Silvagni, Wilkie, Tauru, Barrat and Howard as KPDs is already excessive, adding Aleer on a big contract would stupid
