I ****ing hope not.
What do you envisage?

I just hope we use pick 1 and 2 and if they want, they can bundle up or split the others.

And hold firm with Liam Ryan.
Tell the Saints it's the Hawks first and Ryan for pick 8.

Not sure but if that rumour on the blues board is true, that might be the last straw.

Getting our pants pulled down by Carlton on the trade table.
The Carlton trade wasn’t too bad imo. Should always take the top talent but if there was a draft to do the split it was probably that draft.

If we took Bo and Murphy Reid over Bigfooty favourite Sid Draper, I think most would be happy. It was kicking that pick on to Richmond for Baker and not a future pick that was the issue.

Teams knew we were trying to sell an asset to buy an asset. While I think also trying to get future assets ready Chad trade.

Oh come on mate, sure you didn't say the exact words I want Mitch McGovern, but you brought up his name today and you've been making the case for him supposedly improving our list all afternoon and have been defending the idea to everyone who is against it.
You guys are trying to disagree with me, as if im advocating for it.
Im defending the concept of it, not that I want it

He would quite clearly improve our list, as much as you are terrified of admitting.
Ive mentioned why many times and im not doing it again, unless you want to give me a reason that I SHOULD be surprised if hes on our list next year?

Hopefully, but it is a real possibility

There could be others, like Starcevich and some midfielder.

If you say so

The only thing anybody has managed to come up not to get him with are these 2:
  • waah waah i just dont want him
  • he takes opportunity from Brock/Bazzo
Brock and Bazzo are far from locks in our side, Brock wasnt even in the side near the end of the year until Edwards went down.

We need to get better now, and Gov jr helps that objective.
Give it a rest Mitch

Godfather32 still yet to see a reason why I should be surprised if Mitch McGovern ends up on our list, you got one or were you just talking absolute rubbish?

Don't be surprised if Nat Fyfe is on our list next year guys.
Would improve our midfield while the young guys learn under him.
Not that I actually want this to happen mind you, but I'm just going to spend the next 6 hours defending the concept of the idea, but not the actual idea of bringing in Fyfe which I myself raised.
So come on guys, why should I not be surprised if Fyfe is on our team next year??

I'm glad you decided to be the bigger man and didn't get petty.

Nice try, but the bloke is retired after this year(maybe after tonight)

Im sure you can come up with a half decent example if you put your mind to it!

I don't need to come up with a half decent example, I'm only planning on defending the concept of bringing Fyfe in, not actually bringing Fyfe himself in.

The fact Erasmus hasn’t signed a contract this late in the year, indicates he is probably on the move.

Sure, but he would still fill a need, and come for next to nothing

Im not sure why im forced to defend this position, all I said was I wouldnt be surprised, because he genuinely would be in our best 22
No one is forcing you. You could have stopped at any time. It’s okay. You don’t even have to concede it was a shit take. You can just stop replying instead of repeating your same arguments 25 times. Which is all they are. Trying to reclassify your subjective opinion as objective fact is not fooling anyone and does not make you correct. Please stop with the Mitch McGovern nonsense. No one cares and it is draining the life out of this thread for those that haven’t already hit mute.
Some very close minded people here, nobody has said they WANT Gov jr here, just that he would be an option to improve the list which he objectively is

Would have to think cockburn's price has gone through the roof if we wanted Erasmus still (if he even wants to leave anymore)
Yeah, issue is he is out of contract, if he leaves which I don’t think he does now. Davies the same, got back into the best 23 at the right time. Now can their current clubs sell them the dream?

Would not be surprised if Mitch McGovern is on our list next year, as part of a potential pick 2 trade with Carlton or not.

Would free up Ginbey to not have to play as a KPD as some people prefer(or pushes out Brock/Bazzo), and would be an experienced player in D50 replacing(somewhat) what we wouldve had planned for Jeremy in 2026.
Decent kick too.

He'd fill a need.

Pick 2 for Mitch McGovern?....ok that's a tad high... Did you mean pick 102?
