I'm going out on a limb here.

If I were the Demons I wouldn't have Bucks. He's fashioned a new image for himself since he's been in the media and has everyone cheering him on for this role. Seems the easy most popular choice , not convinced it's the right one myself.

...and last touch out of bound rule for 2026.

It’s why they’re trialing that arc in finals for the boundary stuff. That was a giveaway

I suspect he doesn't really want it but simply can't stomach another year of talking dripple to Gerard Whateley or having to weekly buddy up with Jack Riewoldt on Couch.

It was reported incorrectly. should be "Last disposal". I think.
Yes "Last Disposal" is the correct term.
But you know the media they have been calling it last touch for years in the AFLW.
Why would the media want to call something that is more correct when they can throw more grey area onto the actual rule

Having a ruck that can outmark Max Gawn. Yes please

He’s a dreadful fit. Played mostly boring defensive footy at the end and that team needs a total culture change from that.

Here's my last negative post before I retire the Dr*per hate until he does something goofy next year:

  • No evidence that he can stay healthy
  • No evidence that he can be a difference making ruck in categories I care about, like intercept marking. I don't care that he can occasionally do something sick.
  • Only about 3 rucks in the comp are worth paying serious money to. If the Bombers get more than a second round comp pick we've paid too much.
I get why we want to recruit a ruck and I see the appeal of bringing in a free agent. Its a massive risk though.

What evidence is there that any player can stay healthy? What “evidence” would you like to see that is publicly available?

I just want a big ****ing unit that can give us marking presence around the ground. Get him in!

I dunno if he's any good or not but we could have some fun with it all in '26.

The one handed around the corner shot from 15m out just one of many possible gifs.

Sam Draper: 79 games 2.4 marks average per game
Darcy Fort: 54 games 1.9 marks average per game
McInerney: 162 games 2.1 marks average per game

If we get Ridley as well somehow, even if we lose Cal and Brandon (which sadly seems certain for both now), we will have filled the gaps on our list regardless...as long as they all stay fit. Pretty impressive recruitment we have these days.

I've actually been thinking as well, if Starc's rumoured contract offer from Essendon is legit, maybe its as simple as trading Starc for Ridley plus other bits and pieces, maybe that's how we get it done.

I rate Draper more as a physical contested marking presence. The other two are at the end of their careers.
