Thats only cos of our greatness. Both swans and port were also clearly the best opponents those years.

Brisbane clearly the best opponent this year. As with all the other teams we play in grand finals. Literally allways.

For once can we get a pies who have an average second half of the season and stumble into it cos the better team choked or get injured. Nope.
Um, were you unhappy with those results?

Part of my optimism is also realistic. Replay this season from the start and things may not have fallen our way as they have. A tougher run of injuries, a finals series with seriously good ruckmen or key forwards playing against us ... or even a year where we are not the only team capable of tagging.

All things being equal/perfect, I'm sure we're NOT the best in it ... but right now we are so clearly the best placed.

If Berry is ruled out, I wonder if they'll go a swap of the two

Not sure it's the smartest option for Brisbane to play too many under injury clouds
Surely they're not stupid enough to bring neale in on a borderline calf? He wasn't exactly in good form before the calf either iirc

Tonight proved Nick Daicos is one of the most overrated players around. In the last quarter tonight with the game on the line, Daicos exploded with 3 handballs and 29m gained.

Compare that to an actual player - in the 3rd term last night with the game in the balance, Dangerfield had 6 kicks, 4 marks, 2 tackles, 1 goal and 219m gained.

Daicos isn't fit to tie Danger's bootlaces.

He is the most targetted forward in the AFL this year (champion data) for a slightly sub-average return. He's a bit like Chol - someone has to kick the goals and the team relies on a ridiculous oversupply of inside 50s.

He's taken 10 marks all finals series.

Ever wondered why Brisbane have lower scores per inside 50 than North Melbourne? He's one of the reasons and it ain't changing next week just because we're all nervous.

I feel like I'm going to spend this week pointing out all the things I pointed out this time three weeks ago. Brisbane have played the same way with the same weaknesses for three years now. It won't change in a week.
I'm actually not that nervous. Just pointing out that Morris isn't a point of weakness for them. He did most of his damage today with field kicking.

I do worry about Henry's foot combining with Stewart out. If Henry is proppy or out then that backline gets thin quick
May I introduce you to Blicavs. Mark Blicavs.

Who can be accountable for Zorko next week? 36 touches in the QF and set up most of their play tonight
He also gave Collingwood about four goals. Surely Tommy Atkins keeps him quiet. Oishin can clamp Luggage. If Neale plays, he'll be proppy. My biggest concern is Harris-Andrews. The guy is a star.

Without falling into the risk of thinking that the GF will be a repeat of the QF, I feel comfortable that we match up on them all over the field and they're the ones who should be worried about all of our weapons.

Put Mannagh on him. Mannagh can pressure him defensively and burn him going the other way if he doesn't pay him enough attention.

Yeah but remember when they tried to bring him back from that injury initially and said there was nothing structural but he was out for ages due to pain?

A previous injury? Not sure you can align the two. Anyway, we’ll know in the next 48 hrs. I’m not concerned.

My wife is a Brisbane supporter so we might need a mediator to communicate this week (maybe one of my kids :p)
Thats when you make a bet!!

Cats win = shagging everyday for 2 weeks

Lions win = shagging everyday for 2 weeks

😜
