Blue is the traditional but I think red would also work for a different look.

Hawks Lions wil be terrible but there is nothing wrong with cats and pies provided Collingwood are in full black and geelong in white.

Spot on. Problem is Collingwood are never in full black - from the front anyway. Not even predominantly black.

The AFLW match on now between Pies and Haws shows how having both teams in full home (including shorts) will actually provide greater contrast than putting one team in white shorts against teams like Pies/Swans/Cats/North/Saints that have white in their jumpers.

In the case of a Geelong v Collingwood GF (or any Cats v Pies game) if the Pies could wear this or something similar, it would be so much better. It sure made ANZAC Day awful a few years back, but it would make the world of difference against the Cats.
