How come the Diacos brothers were out there with Snoop? Figured you would have someone from the actual GF teams out there doing a media promo for it.
I'm surprised the brothers weren't chosen to hand over the premiership cup and the Norm Smith. How come the Diacos brothers were out there with Snoop? Figured you would have someone from the actual GF teams out there doing a media promo for it.

There's always next year, I guess.

Finlayson could've got a lap of honour also, with Collard best young talent and Powell with the community award.Should've been Rankine and Graham, brothers in philosophy

I like it. Going further, even though the 2 teams have been decided perhaps a wildcard entry into the GF?I'm surprised the brothers weren't chosen to hand over the premiership cup and the Norm Smith.

Is that the account run by a bloke thats literally run by a brick shit house? Think his name is TomWhat do I think...I think your spelling sucks!
Release who voted what at the end of the season. I still think coaches votes can be pretty biased. Playing favourites, not giving someone a vote if he played well but didn't follow some "team rules" during the game etc...It'd be interesting to see how coaches value player contributions though.
For instance, there was that kerfuffle earlier in the year, where David King caught out McRae giving Naicos 5 votes in games where he didn't appear to be best on ground. As an example, the other coach was giving Daicos either 2 votes max, or no votes at all.
The last 18 Brownlow medalists have been in the top 6 contested ball winners for the season, so it's really no surprise that Rowell won over Daicos, as it was 2nd compared to 22nd in that stat.
Having said that, I do agree an overhaul is required, however I feel that looking at stats will only serve to muddy the waters even more.
I'll use an example from online gaming: The best player on a team isn't always the person with the highest score/best KDA. They're usually the one fighting for, and winning, objectives.
Rowell is what you'd consider the latter, whereas Naicos seems much more like a 'KDA player' in the way he goes about it, demanding the ball in bad spots despite teammates being in better positions.
We only need to look in our own backyard to see how much of an impact Reid has, despite not being a huge disposal getter.
I did like the suggestion from someone earlier that all umpires attending the game vote, not just the main field ones, as they all get a different perspective of the game.
No idea who runs it.Is that the account run by a bloke thats literally run by a brick shit house? Think his name is Tom
My understanding is that kick ins from the goal square after a behind has been scored don't count as a possession , however if the player plays on out of the square it does.I like it with the umpires but would be open to them at least getting the stats before voting. Although that might just exacerbate the midfield bias. Or we might see defenders who take 10 kick ins from behinds who all of a sudden sneak into the votes.
One team is in Brissy, the other Geelong.
May not have been convenient.

Correct me if I am wrong.
Happens every now and then. source: me as a Fantasy playerThis is correct but I can’t recall the last time I saw someone not run out of the square before kicking it

Well stop doing it then.Happens every now and then. source: me as a Fantasy player![]()
I found this really interesting
Watching it you can understand the type of impact Hodge would’ve had when he went to Brisbane.
And likely why Baker and Graham were chased by the club last year and Starcevich this year
And why someone like Lachie Neale would be invaluable if we somehow managed to get him across
Teams have averaged 39 points from stoppages per game in this finals series, which is the most on record since Champion Data started recording score sources in 2002.
The Cats scored 72 of their 115 points from stoppages in that clash against Hawthorn as captain Patrick Dangerfield ran riot in the midfield, having 13 score involvements in a finals performance for the ages.
Brisbane, meanwhile, scored 65 of its 100 points in the preliminary final win over Collingwood from stoppage chains - its second best result this year from that score source - with the influence of Will Ashcroft and Hugh McCluggagecritical.PLAYERCARDSTART6Hugh Mccluggage

PLAYERCARDEND
The increase in stoppage scores during the finals has gone against the trend from the home and away season, which saw the 60-point [scores from stoppages] barrier broken just 20 times in 207 games, with the Western Bulldogs averaging an AFL-high 47.6 scores from stoppages.
Every team except North Melbourne scored more heavily from turnovers than stoppages, but the finals have seen six of the eight qualifying teams lift their scores from stoppage above their season averages.
The home and away season may have seen one trend, but in the finals we've seen scores from stoppages emerge as king:
