You can always ring health direct and they will choose caution over comfort and send you the the hospital anyway most of the time. At least you know they are trained but hopefully your already there.Does anyone on here have any medical knowledge? I went in for an endoscopy yesterday and the doctor inserted the cannula inside my elbow on the arm joint, but missed the vein completely.
Despite me telling various nurses that it was extremely painful and I couldn't straighten my arm, they all agreed that telling me to not straighten my arm was the solution.
So I have the endoscopy wide awake as the fentanyl didn't go into my vein and it's hard to communicate this with a mouth-plate in. It was uncomfortable but not traumatising.
My main issue is, now I've got a massive bruise spreading up and down my arm. And a nasty ass headache which I'm not sure is related. Is this a 'seek medical attention' situation or more of a 'watch and act'?
