Im not young or stupid enough to believe I have any bearing on a trade happening. I’m just a long time Hawks supporter interested to get the Sun supporters point of view..I never really understood the idea opposition supporters can’t have a measured conversation…

Exactly, extra year give us time to target players and meanwhile Humphrey will help us for top 4 push. Who knows maybe he will mature without his buddies and Mitchell constantly in his ear. Humphrey really showed how immature he is. I am still going to boo him :p

Hawks better prepare something serious next year.

If Hawks were prepared to trade some of their starting 18 players it would be possible.. That would be assuming GC were at all prepared to move Bailey which they genuinely may not be.
If Hawks were willing to let go players like Lewis, Scrimshaw, MacKenzie we’d get enough first rounders to put together a good offer.. That’s a lot of if’s and I’d personally doubt it pans out that way..

Maybe if you convince Day, Watson, Weddle to go. See how ridiculous it sounds. Last thing Suns need is picks. Look at the list and 2 top 5 picks are still coming this year on top of Petracca. Every year we will probably have to let go 1-2.

Next year it's possible Suns will target top mature talent again. I guess, Humphrey could be involved. A lot of things can change in 12 months.

Just yesterday, again reported 4 teams interested in our first round picks which would bring us extra points. Deal with Eagles would mean probably extra 25-300 points and no bid 1,2. Fiorini deal probably no bids 5,6. Yes, we can use future picks to trade in this year. We can go to deficit.

For those interested, I searched max deficit allowed. I did not find this year but in 2024 it was 1723! As I understand the points are deducted from the relevant future pick in the same round the bid was placed.

Bloody hell, we need to do nothing. Future picks would be used automatically.

I wonder if Bailey is one of those people that just agrees with the last thing he hears?

Does an interview about living with the AFLW girls - talks about how they have real jobs and how luck he is etc (probably fed to him over the breakfast table).

Hangs out with dopey mates who urge him to come home - has a chat with King (maybe the friends took the picture) and does some shit posting.

Get him back to GC for preseason, let Dimma sweet talk him for a few weeks and offer him an extension. Problem will solve itself.

I am consistently hearing he’s been linked to Hawks for some months and is sold on getting to the club..I wonder if you’ve been speaking with Cam MacKenzie. Hawks would hate to lose him, pick 7 and could be a star, but a future first, along with picks for your academy kids this year and MacKenzie might be a fair swap for Humphrey.. Just interested to know what the feel is for the player.. I live in QLD so have some interest so have a soft spot for the Suns..

Petracca not a top player I'm assuming? That's cool, he can come back to Melbourne with his tail between his legs I guess.

It is pretty simple I think... Gold Coast get a proven game breaker who will take you a game or two further in 2026, and Melbourne get fairly compensated for him with his four years left on contract. We don't want two picks... we have stated this already. We have brought in the likes of Windsor, Langford, Lindsay the last couple of drafts. We want some muscle to come in and support them (aka. Humphrey). I don't know why Cameron is being so pig headed about it.

Agree according to ITK posters on each of the boards he’s going to the blues, Hawks and Melbourne. He’s going to be a busy boy playing for all 3 teams

Cameron wants to keep him for the same reasons you want to trade for him.

The Petracca deal will get done without him, it's probably already agreed, the AFL just wants some drama.

This tells you all you need to know, we gave up Scrimshaw for a fourth rounder to allow him to go home and play with his favourite club even though he was CONTRACTED. Now they think he’s somehow worth a first rounder.

This is the same mob that still squeal about how we were totally unfair in the JOM trade, spare me
