So now he goes for nothing![]()
Where is the presser ?
I really dont think a F2 and F3 is that far off his value as a 28 year old handy role player, I find that weird.
It's certainly interesting for Ambrogio moving forward. Decided sending a message it's on their terms or get him the hard the way is a message worth sending.
I wonder if the value there is reliant on someone pipping Adelaide for him

Nonsense. The player is wanted, is valued, and if said player demands a trade to a specific club then he’d better be sure that the destination club is willing to pay the price.Because they don’t want to strengthen a rival unless for massive overs. Seems good in theory but when the other party is being reasonable it throws the player under the bus. Hence the bad look.
Geeze this doesn't look great for adelaide. Went out to recruit a player, had the deal more or less done and then tried the low ball. Can't imagine player managers to keen to work with them over the next few years. Right when they enter a window and mature recruits could be valuable.
And? The cliff occurs to some players once they reach 30 so I'm using an assumption just like you. Do you think a few years of good footy left for a player is worth pick 35-40???He’s played nearly every game the last two years well worth a first with a third back.
He’s just turned 28 a few days ago and you’ve offered him five years so the club isn’t concerned about him being finished in 2-3 years clearlySo you are making assumption. Well, let's assume at the age of 29, Ah Chee only has a few years of good football left so is he worth pick 35-40???
Which he gave no detail on at all. Would be nice to know what some of these “offers” were to judge if they were reasonable.Rubbish. Listen to Ambrogios presser after time ran out. We offered multiple different possibilities with pick swaps/slides, different years etc but crows weren’t interested. No surprise it ended up here
What were those pick slides and swap??? Did it still involve pick 16 or F1????Rubbish. Listen to Ambrogios presser after time ran out. We offered multiple different possibilities with pick swaps/slides, different years etc but crows weren’t interested. No surprise it ended up here
Does he have to nominate. If he doesn’t nominate does he become a dfa so we get him anyway.Suggest you watch Williams presser.
Ah Chee has left the building.
Why is an F2 and F3 of no value?
Id say its the other way round if you listen to his manager and if he has other players there its going to cost them one way or another now that you have done the dirty on him when Brisbane have known about this for a while it seemsGeeze this doesn't look great for adelaide. He didn’t go into specifics, the question was whether the crows tried different deals. Sounded like there was one offer until an hour or so before close and it was rubbish as we know. Very little flexibility shown by the crows seeminglyWhat were those pick slides and swap??? Did it still involve pick 16 or F1????
I know you are having a bit of a laugh here but man, that just shouldnt be how it worksBid-matching changes for next year mean that those sort of picks no longer have much currency. If we can't use those picks to rort given looming rule changes, then they don't do much for us given we aren't looking to have a lot of draft picks.
On face value (going off my club anyway) picks after 30 this year were worth diddly squat. I think picks in 26 would have been more highly valued by clubs so view an Adelaide F2 and F3 a fair bit more than what was given for those playersI'd push back on the value too. Do you think the 28 year old role player (who kicked 4 goals in a grand final and was our player of the finals series in 2024) is worth more or less than Budarick, Tylar Young and Ben Ainsworth (a worse player, who is only a year younger and was a cap dump)? Because that's the calibre of pick that was offered.
I'd have done the deal because Cal gave good service to us and who cares about second-third round picks. But the Crows offer was meaningless enough that I don't think anyone will lose sleep over it.
What's that got to do with the posters assumption that the F2 will be pick 35-40???? He made an assumption and so did I and that's the risk we've taken with offering him 5 ears which is a year too much IMO.He’s just turned 28 a few days ago and you’ve offered him five years so the club isn’t concerned about him being finished in 2-3 years clearly

Hence we offered future picks... but hey nevermind, we get him for nothing. We have too many picks, not enough spots and our list is too stacked, Snuffman. We got so much talent under 22. We need value Snuffers not junk bonds.
Crows offer was a steaming pile of poo pooWhich he gave no detail on at all. Would be nice to know what some of these “offers” were to judge if they were reasonable.
Only offer we know off is the one the crows put forward.
Puffing the chest out over a 28 year old with a young family, who has just helped you win 2 flags is pathetic. But when you get everything delivered to you on a silver platter, you tend to lose perspective.
