Not accurate entirely.

He must have got the job through being candid about where he saw the culture, and how it needs to be addressed.

We won’t see the results for a few years yet - two might not be enough.

But I have had enough and I’m behind him to be given enough power to have a stab at it.

Oh he definitely knew about it coming into the job, he has just acted so decisively that I figure he was pretty blunt about it in the interview process.

Also found it interesting both Lamb and Guerra in media post trade week haven't even spoken about May - I wonder if we're going to pay him out?

About halfway through the trade period I think Lamb said we expected May to be at the club next year.

I would hope we give him a chance to finish off his career in the right way. Would have been a pretty humbling couple of weeks for him.

I dunno, but I reckon we might do what we said.the message we gave was that we need to develop new defenders - and basically warned him as a courtesy that he might want to look at other options.

Either he hasn’t, or nobody was interested, but it doesn’t matter. Hes on the list and has had a frank conversation that surely tells him he isn’t an automatic selection.

I wish a few of my employers had been candid with all of their staff in that way

Tank for Dougie Cochrane next year!
Draft Sam GRLJ and Josh Lindsay this year.

Hopefully the following leave at the end of next year and we can get band 2 picks.
Bayley Fritsch
Christian Salem
Tom Sparrow

Mitch Marsh reminds me so much of Fritz, he'd be a definite no for Sugar :laughv1:

Started off hating him as he seemed weak one on one in the first few clips then I realised he is just a skilful medium forward who is good on the lead. Set shot kicking looks elite.

Put him in the very interested pile.

Deebrief boys are just as nuffy as Caden. Will never forget their pom pom waving support for Brad Green last year over the whole Clayton Oliver to Geelong scenario.

Lost me after that.

the original crew are still good but they are hardly on now. The host is pretty nuff on the pod but was at least strong on getting rid of Goodwin this year.

Yeah deebrief drank the koolaid after every win pretty much, the host finally started facing reality this year at least. CM is the worst though, I think i saw him on it once this year after we got flogged and he was talking about let's not make any rash decisions in terms of the coach and list. Such a delusional nuff. He was fully still stuck in 2021 thinking those days would return right up until Goodwin was fired basically. Not someone who's opinion I can take seriously, totally compromised by nuffiness.

Can't say I've ever listened to The DeeBrief's podcasts. Their social media posts did my head in enough, lol

Reckon if we land two of Grlj, Marsh, Farrow, Dovaston we'll have done very well.

Haven't watched enough matches yet but in the ones I have seen I prefer Lindsay and Cumming over Farrow as of right now.

Havent seen anything of Dovaston yet, will have a look at him next.

Dovaston is good, would play straight away and be a fan fav and fun to pair with Kozzy. Only thing I hate is the constant knee dropping chasing free kicks. He's strong thru the hips should use that instead of trying to get free kicks. Good tackler, good link up player high up the ground, above average disposal, average set shot can be hit and miss. Surprised hes #18 in Twomey's phantom draft.

Reckon he will start to spike up the draft boards as the weeks go by. I honestly think he is well within our sights in those early picks.

Hes got a bit of cockiness and campaigner about him which we have sorely lacked since god knows how long. Bit of Hayden Ballantyne about him which i like.

Feel like this club has lacked genuine personalities on field because Goodwin sucked the life out of them with his snooze fest personality and game plan. Doveston brings a lot of that excitement and energy with him.

Wonder if the eagles would be interested in swapping 2 and 13 for 6 and 7 if we threw in something else?

That might get us Robey and Dovaston
100% would have to throw more in. Purely points wise we'd need to add a pick 35 for it to be even, but the deal would have to be very tempting for them to do it - Probably have to be GC's future 1st as well. Mentioned already, would not be shocked at all to see us sacrifice a future 1st to get up high enough to get Robey.

Would be annoyed to see us do that deal considering the club has been chest-beating about the 8 first rounders in four years.
