Would have to be one of the most invisible lead ups to cricket season ever.

Opposition have at least 8 x Patels suiting up. Presumably unrelated. They are mad for it!

Going to be a real strength of Australian cricket in time.

It's amazing how much Indians love their cricket. Effectively, that country alone has made cricket the second biggest sport on the planet.

I like them too. Shame it's all behind the fox paywall. For us plebs who don't have kayo, you see none of it, so the care factor is non-existent.

MY view is they should ditch ODIs. Keep them to a 4 year world cup tournament only. That way they mean "something".
Then just have T20 as the filler between tests. You could come up with like a two year Championship tournament and have a Grand final series every other year.

T20 has matured alot to where it isnt the hit and giggle it once was.

Sadly ODIs are a relic of a different era and have been usurped by T20 cricket

For me I’d rather see T20 reserved for franchise cricket like the IPL, BBL etc and only played internationally once every 3-4 years in a World Cup setup. ODIs can then be played as the white ball format for international cricket

I’m old but I miss the international tri-series that we used to have in the 80’s and early 90’s that were the backbeat to every summer of cricket

Yep. I'm not strategizing for the survival of the sport, just stating my personal preference.
