I don't think brad liked him much, like VOSS.

spent 3 years having to play HFF and never given much of a chance to play in the role he was drafted for.
Brad liked him. That is why he kept picking him in the side even as a forward.

Tsatas needs everything to go right or he will be gone next year.
At least with Hobbs gone it frees up a half forward spot for Tsatas.
No thanks.

In the end he did develop much at all, physically or his outside game. Got plenty of games because he had a genuine crack.
Thought someone may have had a nibble but the reality is his game did not develop.

Pretty surprised by the delisting since old Essendon would have held onto him for a few years due to where he was selected. Can't say it was the wrong decision though.

One of the arguments for turning over list managers relatively often (not just Dodoro) is they can’t get attached to their mistakes and harm the club by keeping them around.

Happens in business all the time. A new man comes in and can get rid of stupid decisions without having to admit the that he just got it wrong.

Tsatas is much more likely to make it than Hobbs if he's given the opportunity next year. Tsatas at least has some elite traits. Hobbs didn't have any.
Tsatas has 1 elite trate.

Can’t be serious.if we’re ever going to get this list build right we need to avoid players with the kicking ability of a Gaelic footballer with stilts on. Tsatas can count himself very fortunate as I would be cutting him as well.

If we’re ever going to get this list build right we need to avoid players with the kicking ability of a Gaelic footballer with stilts on. Tsatas can count himself very fortunate as I would be cutting him as well. In the harsh world of AFL football I have to say that I’m very happy to see the back of Hobbs. He obviously had little interest from other clubs too which tells you what the industry thinks.
So good it was worth using twice.

Good point though. McKenna improved out of sight once we got him off the stilts.

Not good enough, modern game doesn’t suit him. It was such a waste of a pick, fell for a reason yet Dodoro thought he was a steal 😂
It made sense at the time, we were screaming for an inside mid and one of the better ones in the draft was available at our pick.

Unfortunately it would've been around that time where the game started changing and midfielders with inside/outside skills became the new hotness. Pretty typical of dodo to be a decade behind the current trend really

I do sometimes wonder if some of our highly rated draft picks were highly rated by precisely one high profile list manager who told anyone who'd listen that he highly rates a particular kid, which then makes it into the various power rankings.

That's 1 more than Hobbs at least... and 1 more than a tonne of our list
And 2 less than what he needs. Have to love the"he is less shit than that bloke argument"
If Tsatas had the same attitude as Hobbs as far as having a decent crack at the contest he would have been in the side in front of him.
