I feel sorry for Cox playing weekly at Peel. He'll be so easily recognisable compared to your average WAFL player that every crowd yobbo will be heckling him mercilessly.

There are a lot of positives adding Cox. He backs up our rucks, can take a mark and kick a goal. He has a social media presence and would bring Freo more exposure. On top of all that he has insight and experience with the biggest club in the AFL.
10x the player Reidy is and we kept him on the list for 2 years.

My issue is purely age. I think we can do better by pulling out someone younger with potential for longer retention. I also really don’t like the reports of 2 years. I hope that is wrong.

I see no reason to offer anything more than 1 year and then see where things are at with him and Riddle. Riddle could well be ready and then we have a 36 year old list clogger for 2027 season.

The problem with the Riddle style solution (young emerging ruck) is even if they aren't great they have been targeted and we lose them. We have already lost 3.

The aging warrior option makes sense. Not sure that means Cox, but he's clearly in discussion.

The option I would love to see is ruck size KPP. Can Riddle be that? Perhaps Curtin?

Cal is usually pretty accurate in the first 12 or so picks but then it gets muddy after that. We will pick up the best of who we need at that pick.

Yah, because I think it's very difficult for Cal to get anything much after 10 right this year, my main takeaway is that Pickett at our is not even a reach which is pretty nutty.

Not sure where you get that from. More like 24-27. Depends how many Freo bid on. I tipped 23/24 a few weeks ago. With some late trades and growing expectation Geelong/Freo will bid on a few players we’re looking at likely 25/26. Our original pick with WCE is likely to go around 19/20.

I really don’t think Walls cares. He’ll just select best available slider, after having a crack a few bids. There will be quite a a few clubs selecting on player needs as well as a surprise or two early selection.

Think it's not concern Whan gets through tbh but it's likely. I wouldn't bid where there's clubs who might take late selections tbh.

Our original pick 13 dropping to 19 according to two phantoms done this afternoon (FoxSports and AFL). We started with 11 but Oscar Allen and TDK fetched top 10 compo pushing it back 13. It is with WCE now.

Our current pick 20 dropping to 25/26.
