Just looking at his video it looks like he can hit a target by foot.

I know it's just a graphic based on a couple peoples opinions but i like that they rated him highly on things that are hard to improve but his areas for improvement can be worked on more easily

Still think there are some good prospects on the board and we have the 8th live selection tomorrow. Excluding academy kids, we could still get one of the below.

NHH
Thredgold
Onley
La Ray
Ludowycke
Phillipou
Emmett
Greaves

There were a lot of Academy picks so it came in from 40 to 33.
Ok. I thought that Academy picks would push us further down the list.
I.e., like our 19 ended up being 23 or 24.

onley would be ideal

That would be brutal if tonight was anything to go by 😩
They used to knock the whole thing off in a couple of hours. But now, everyone has a back story.

Hopefully we delist someone tonight to open up our R3 to snag a late gem.

Do not love that we aren't giving Wells a shot at it this year.

Very solid build for an outside player. He positions himself perfectly on the outside.
Only question mark is that ACL.

The positioning is very much like Dempsey. Just appears in the right spots.

He looks a better kick than Dempsey but doesn't have his bag of tricks although not many do.

It looks a really exciting pick. It makes me wonder why he lasted until 24 in a bad draft when a guy like Hotton coming off an ACL went 12 in a good draft.

Is there any slight chance tomorrow with our pick. That a club might want it and we could go back and use our 3rd round pick and we could swap it for a future pick?
Or not as all these picks are getting used for the bidding academy picks
Ideally it would be nice to trade 33 for s future 2nd which would allow us to match a late mellor bid (if there is one) with a list spot and if not take a pick at 56 at the end of the draft.
But I doubt we will get a buyer clubs dont want to trade out of next year.

FYI our r3 is gone it disappeared as we had no list spot for it. But it doesnt matter as if we traded 33 we would just use our r4 which will come in to where the r3 would have been anyway (record number of low picks to be taken this year).

I did not realize that our round two pick was 33. I thought it was around the mid 40's.

It has come in due to the bid matching.

Richmond were able to take a punt on Hotton because they had so many early picks. Geelong are in a position where they can be patient, most aren't.

We clearly didnt want many picks this year.

To be fair hotton would have been pick 1 or 2 if no acl. Barker is not quite at that level but I prefer him to a lot of guys ahead him due to the athletic profile and football brain (which is a good combo). The injury is a risk.
