S21-S40 All-SFA XX

And finally we arrive at the finish, with the second of our all-time Sweet FA greats sides... your S21-S40 provisional All-SFA side for your viewing pleasure.

Once again, there's probably even more glaring omissions in this time, and given most of those are probably still active and have a valid BigFooty account I look forward to seeing the discussions develop around who needs to come in, and who makes way.

This S21-S40 provisional side is again based purely on the All-SFA selections made during our modern era, which is completely objective on that basis. Flawed? Likely. Inaccurate? Probably.
There's also a handful of legends who spanned both generations during their peak, and can feel equally hard done by, but there had to be a cut off somewhere, and the only way to clearly define the sides without bias was to consult our 'best of the best' Sweet FA teams selected by our peers each season as the gospel.

Consider this now a changes thread, and hell I might even chuck up a poll if we get some strong discussions going for the ins and outs.

Don't come at me, I didn't pick these teams... you did!!

The former Warriors skipper has amassed 242 games as a one club player at Van Cortlandt Park, and slots into the customary rover position to round out the followers line. 3 time Frankston Rover award winner, 2 time club BnF winner, Mobbs Medallist in S32, 2 time beez Trophy winner and captained the Warriors during a 5 season stint at the helm. Has 7 career All-SFA selections from S27-S39 and became a HOFer in S38. No premierships tho.

Well, we tried, but there's zero point if it's All SFA and **** the rest. There's nothing to debate.

Just publish the teams in post 1 and shut the thread. Save us all some time.

I don't think it's that open and shut. It's based on All-SFA as the starting point, because there had to be some sort of criteria for selection.

It's a mild assessment of the decision making of committees' past as much as a debate about player legacy.

But yeah, I did enjoy the graphic. I thought the Vic WorkSafe footy was a nice little Easter egg too.

For sake of the argument, I should replace the TROGLODYTE.

Two of his selections aren’t even in the S21-40 era, and I could’ve easily justified being in the All-SFA in both S25 and S26 but refused to select myself as I was admin.

In S25 I was a lock for the wing spot. After Hate got the graphic done I asked him for a last minute edit to remove me and add Greycrow for his first selection.

S26 was more a 50-50 between putting myself in the last bench spot or putting ND in. Went with ND in the end as the Furies were playing in the GF and they otherwise would have no All-SFA reps.
