I like the trade and draft periods for the views you get of the football depts of each club all huddled together in their little rooms.

It allows me to make completely baseless and unfair assumptions about how clubs are going to go based on the guys running the place.

We looked cool as ****, Rosa and Co, so that’s good.

West Coast obviously looked like a clown show.

Another that stood out to me was Richmond. Not sure what it is but they just looked like a bunch of shit car salesman who really don’t have much of a clue. Maybe it was the polos not fitting properly.

I think the offer was fair if you take it as an offer for a 30 year old player who is not captain, has only 1 year left on his contract and is not the best player in the side he is at. Obviously that is not the case.
I know I am in the minority but I actually would have taken it. Understand why we did not but I actually think we could have won out of it. Anyway it did not happen.

Agree. And the people I know that have had some contact with Sam during his junior days say it is typical Mitchell. There was a reason he was removed as captain and why there are people at the Eagles who do not really speak highly about him as a person.
They would want to actually win a flag soon. My prediction is he will end up rubbing too many people the wrong way with his win at all cost and I do not give a **** who it upsets attitude which he has always had.
Good footy mind but is driven to the point where he is basically a w***er.

They had a pretty good run injury wise last year. Yes they had some key injuries at time to important players but most of their core played every game.

They had zero debuts. Their depth will be tested more this season.
