I honestly see him Blake Hardwick 2.0.

Recruited as a forward, excellent in the air, looks tough as nails.

Added bonus on top of all that is apparently he's a very good runner too.
I don't know why but everything ive read and watched on Cam playing on those video clips, and his toughness in his contested marking, first player and one of my all favourite Hawthorn players that comes to mind playing in similar positions is Gary Buckenara.

Gary Buckenara played as a half-forward flank and a midfielder. He was known for his skills in both positions, including his excellent kicking and high marking.

If he even comes close to one of my all favourite Hawks players playing in the same positions ill be ecstatic that we picked him up, and he will be a joy to watch for years to come 😎

I'll never forget Gary Buckenara kicking the winning goal for the Hawks against Melbourne in the 1987 preliminary final to send the hawks into the grand final. The kick was from 55 meters out on the wing.

A real big game player he was, one of the best skilled half forwards ive seen renowned for performing well in important matches..

Cam Nairns body shape even resembles the great man
Sam Mitchell should be showing Cam as many video clips of Gary as possible.👍😎

nobody could've guessed back then the damage he would later inflict on the club in the 2004 draft...

He's got those long Sicily arms, allowing him to play taller than his height suggests.

Probably why they compared him to Tim Membrey on draft night, who is the tallest 188cm footballer I've seen play the game.

He's easy 192cm minimum to the naked eye.

Nairn looks more athletically versatile than Membrey too.

Not only a true legend of the HFC as a player but
Gary Buckenara as Hawthorn's recruiting manager in 2004, was instrumental in bringing in the legendary 2004 draft class, famously securing Lance Franklin, Jarryd Roughead, and Jordan Lewis (among others like Clinton Young, Tom Murphy, and Simon Taylor), who became cornerstones of the Hawks' future premiership dynasty

The "Bucky" Draft:

The 2004 draft is considered one of the best in AFL history for a single club, largely due to Buckenara's strategic work, including a key trade down the order to land Lewis.👍😎

Imagine if instead of Wizard Hats all the young kids started dressing like Dexys Midnight Runners on match day 😮

And we all started a shout of “Come on Eileen!” every time he lined up for goal.

You'd probably have kids being removed from their parents care if this took off :tearsofjoy:

That said, I can't mock too hard.

For most of the 1980s I laughed at my salty Bummers supporting mate's dad getting pissed off about 'Gary Far Ken Are Ya!' tearing them to ribbons.

I was ten or so at the time, and the guy's dad was crazy intense, and fired his shotgun more than he ever really spoke.

Obviously not in 84/85. But it cracked me up consistently.

Since it says "The moment you realise your dream has come true." I've always wondered, since I don't follow them, does Essendon's social media put out similar videos for their draftees with the title "The moment your nightmare comes true"?
