So your POV is Balme doesn't know what he's doing .....interesting position, given Balme's history of successI get the feeling Matthew Nicks is now a complete part of the Adelaide Boys Club on the level of Trigg, Chapman and Craig previously
They will overlook serious flaws in him to keep him employed because they like him and he's "one of them"

I think balmes position at the crows is being severely overrated.
A bit like NicksI think balmes position at the crows is being severely overrated.
Only by the club and 1A bit like Nicks
The plan was brilliantSome posters predicted the change to defensive style would occur as September neared. And Nicks didn’t disappoint.
You mean, like Roo's influence in exactly the same role .....this is how people back themselves into a corner with a particular argument ......if Roo was the unhealthy influence, because of his role, people said Balme was the counterpointI think balmes position at the crows is being severely overrated.

the amazing thing to me about the boys club is just how ready the boys club is to accept and justify mediocrity. Why on earth do they think a boys club is cool if the results are the best part of dogshit and they look ****ing stupid.
Because it is the Adelaide way, being in the boys club is victory enough for these losers.
Who has backed themselves into a corner? You mean, like Roo's influence in exactly the same role .....this is how people back themselves into a corner with a particular argument ......if Roo was the unhealthy influence, because of his role, people said Balme was the counterpoint
Now, because Balme is not of the same view as a footy forum poster group ....suddenly his position is overrated![]()
When Balme brings in one of his mates who ****s the club up, I’m sure his influence will be questioned moreYou mean, like Roo's influence in exactly the same role .....this is how people back themselves into a corner with a particular argument ......if Roo was the unhealthy influence, because of his role, people said Balme was the counterpoint

Cornes again: "Matthew Nicks needs to be re-signed before we move to Thebarton because it will be too much of an upheaval"

Wrinkles. Time for the nursing home.
Agree re clarko. It becomes more clear each year that hawthorn actually knew which horse to back when exiting him.Maybe have a look at the 2026 "sacked coaches" betting market .....the view from supporters is invariably different from the wider footy market
Adam Kingsley has had the squad, and has failed in multiple Finals Campaigns to deliver .....Voss, well, he may not see the season out ....and the bells are ringing for Clarko, however IMO NORTH may surprise a few next season

Not a black & white logical argument ....apart from player surety, particularly trade options we're working on thru 2026, who will want to know who's coachingAgree re clarko. It becomes more clear each year that hawthorn actually knew which horse to back when exiting him.
Kingsley is a watch I agree but I feel he's closer to success than failure. I don't believe he's a guy they would swap nicks with.
Voss is a failed coach and I'll concede Carlton might do a swap...which we should refuse. Is it Voss? Probably is. But Carlton have been a coaches graveyard for decades now. Failed club probably as all their different coaches can't all be wrong. Surely.
All this confirms that an early extension is unjustified as the competition for Nicks services is very limited.
Do you have a logical reason for the urgency to extend now?
Exactly a culture of nice guy mediocrity. Forever.Regardless of his role, you can’t change decades of ingrained culture in a season or two.
Has always been a turnip.Cornes again: "Matthew Nicks needs to be re-signed before we move to Thebarton because it will be too much of an upheaval"
